#ItsBeginningtoLookLikeSnowvember
Snowshowers started about 20min ago. I was on the phone for two minutes, friend said her sibling in Cambridge called about snow there and sure enough, the rain started to look slow and thick here!
Light showers but the snow part is going to test all the big box shoppers out in parking lots if they are not ready for the tire action.
However, the fallen maple leaves (gold/green tones) have carpeted the grass and made for a stained glass effect, despite the overcast and wet sky. Pretty today, rake-worthy tomorrow!
I just place a pan of cut up potatoes (last of the bag) with salt and smoked paprika and olive oil into the oven for supper. No idea what will go with it. I had leftover tourtiere (St. Hubert's) for breakfast and lunch today plus my morning mug of tea. Feel ready for mug #2 of tea soon. Mom had made an apple strudel (really tough bottom) but the rest of it is tasty so I am snacking on it while the potatoes roast.
Despite my efforts Mom and Bro won't budge and get some things at Costco with the gift card today. At least there's a list of groceries for Costco ready to be used. I have a second list of groceries for the other stores also waiting for action.
Bro goes back to work tomorrow (HURRAH). Three weeks were too much for him to be mostly at home with the odd long ride somewhere.
A local community group held a bottle drive earlier in the day. The local beer store will close forever in 33 minutes' time. What timing and what weather for the store's last day."This is the Way." The Mandalorian

Well, I guess I had it coming. I was trying to see what was in a back corner of garbage bin (hey, partial bag of salt!) when the lid with a slush layer came down on my shoulders. I hadn't been able to hold the lid completely up and reach down with other arm at same time.
Put the rake and some other raking items that needed to go into minibarn and nabbed the bistro set off the sidewalk because the set will be in the way for shovelling tomorrow. At least my mug of green tea is still warm enough to enjoy (so glad I made it before I went outside).
I know a third mug of tea, strongly sweetened is coming due at 8pm.
Those of you with vehicles sporting LED headlights-Consumer Reports stated (in Nov issue?) that since the lights run cooler (due to lower energy use) than usual car headlights, you might need to scrape the lights off in the morning or coat with approved substance to stave off the ice on the headlights. See if your manual or DVD says what's safe to wipe onto the headlights if you are not keen to scrape them when clearing snow off your ride in the morning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dm5b9t-Xyc"This is the Way." Busy day today. I made two batches of soup, one was using a bunch of kale from the garden and the other was butternut squash that used up some squash from the freezer. I had a few good deals with groceries today and was able to earn 10000 PCO and submit 4.60 to Caddle. Freshco had the tetley earl grey tea on sale so I picked up 3 as it’s my favourite winter afternoon drink. I had a really good Triangle offer so I received $47.00 in points for 102.00 purchase, I love when that works out. The weather was calling for snow today but we got lucky, and there was no snow. I think this is the week the furnace gets turned on.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Good Morning Everyone,
Monday and back at it, although I did not stop last week as I worked the weekend.
This sinus infection is a stubborn one, I cannot remember the last time I had a sinus infection this bad. I do feel a little bit better today but it still likes to remind me it is there and I am getting frustrated with not feeling well LOL.
Tonight's dinner plan is Shepherd's Pie with Mushroom Gravy and Candied Acorn Squash. The mushroom gravy makes this dish for me, it adds more flavour and oh so good. Normally since I put tons of veggies in the Shepherd's Pie I would not make a veggie but when I thought we were having Roast on Saturday I started prepping some Acorn Squash by cutting it and scrapping out the seeds so we need to eat that up. So tonight we will have Candied Acorn Squash on the side.
I really need to spend some time in the basement getting my pantry back in order but I am struggling to find the time. It just feels like there are so many day to day things I need to get done that finding time for this is so hard. Plus I have not picked up the insulation from work yet. Honestly, I had been putting it off because we had bins in front of the houses from the construction and I was worried about getting the truck in.
Happy Monday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good Morning! Back at it! It looks nice and sunny outside! I have to drive DS to school for 10:30 so I will probably go for a walk when I get back home. Will pick up a $1 coffee at Mcdonald's to get the sticker on the app and cup while I can!
I have laundry to hang to dry and will put another load in for sure today.
I redeemed $40 in PC pts the other day and paid $2 and change out of pocket. I wanted 2 club packs of Toilet paper so I didn't have to worry about it for a while! I also had a personal offer for the TP which was amazing timing (I think I got back 4,600 in points)
Blueberries were on for $1 package at my store too so I bought 5. I think I will check out the cheese deals and redeem for a good little stock up to do us till into the new year so I don't have to worry about that (we have some but my kid likes cheese!!) it just taste better when its free!
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Ok cleaning out the fridge right now. Waste of carrots and mashed potatoes from roasted chicken dinner last week. Looks like I was the only one that ate the potatoes and I made lots!! Ok will be sure to remind people to eat it next time.
I'm going to make a homemade mac and cheese tomorrow. Have everything on hand to make it. They will polish that off no problem!!

I decided to buy that Dill pickle salad kit at Costco yesterday to try for the first time. Having 1/2 now for lunch and will have the other 1/2 tomorrow. Its good but I think I would get sick of it. And I think I would prefer it as a little side with dinner and not a huge portion. Now I know!

I tried that salad at my SIL's and didn't care for it-of course I don't like dill pickles so no surprise there. The Asian one is pretty good though.

I find that nasal rinsing, cortisone nasal spray and allergy medication (generic Claritin) really helps me. As for the specialist that wouldn't see you based on test results - ask your family doctor to send you to another ENT. I had a male ENT who was very rude so I switched to a female ENT who is very nice and understanding.
