see there was a reason I hesitated to login before now. I would have totally missed the chicken funnies. Great job dan and jays.
Day 2 of " I ain't going out " that sunshine is fooling no one , it's still too cold.
I think our Ontario groundhog predicted 6 more weeks of the W word, while Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early Spring. Rodents don't know sh*t, but
since our own weatherman cannot even predict snowfall properly, we rely on furballs to tell us when to put away our winter gear.

Enjoy your day whatever the weather does !!

tee hee......jury is still out as to whether I'll put on outside clothes and shop or not.
Simply not feeling it atm. Plus last night I filled 2 cast iron pans with blade steaks, seared all surfaces then added par
sauteed mushrooms and onions, as well as a thinned out beef gravy then oven simmered both for 2+ hours. OMG!
Boiled up the last 4 spuds and 4 carrots as sides. The guys have a work meal now, no need to shop.

My two cents: if you don't have to go out, just don't. It's painful, especially when the wind is blowing. You get an instant brain freeze, even when you're wearing a warm toque

Nazem Kadri beats Connor McDavid in NHL All-Star accuracy shooting event!!!

    https://twitter.com/i/status/1621706662557134848
    Good Morning!!

Why am I posting that? Well Kadri is still number one in my heart, so great, misjudged and penalized, a former Maple Leaf and his was the only official NHL Jersey I ever bought for myself, number 43 then. His jersey is still proudly draped over a chair next to my recliner as I watch the games. It broke me when they traded him to the Colorado Avalanche but last year I rooted every game for them to take the Stanley Cup and they did! He got his just desserts and when Nazem had his turn with the cup he went home to London, Ontario.
So although " McJesus " aka Connor McDavid is considered the goat, I LOVE that Kadri bested him last night at the skills competition!

    Happy and early Sunday all!
The All Star game was quite entertaining. DH and I were not a fan of those ridiculously designed " costumes " the players wore. I won't dignify them by calling them a uniform.
If I wasn't as astute at recognizing certain players by their skating style and puck handling I'd been lost as to who was in control of what. The team that had Mitch Marner on it won the million dollars and to think the likes of Ovechkin, Crosby, McDavid among other greats could not bring the team they represented to victory.
    Pure entertainment.

The temps have become a little gentler but not by much, so I'll spend time in the kitchen today ( there's a pork loin in the oven atm ) , we'll do that for an early dinner tonight with oven roasted cabbage steaks. Cauliflower was the only white veg we've roasted previously, so this is was a game changer! Yummo.
Shovel if you have to where you live, so far we have been given a pass on it.

    Happy Sunday morning, everyone!!
@walkonby , we got enough snow that sent Hubby out this morning in the hopes of removing every single flake from our driveway. Lol....he's obsessed with keeping it free of snow; when he takes out my hair-dryer, I'll haul him in!!

Came across this today...not a joke...just in the hopes that none of you have this in your homes...Enjoy your Sunday!!!

mornin all. I've stayed up since waking unexpectedly at 4 a.m. Not normally one to give 2 hoots about the Grammy's BUT I do like me some Trevor Noah who was the host, so I taped the whole thing.
Fast forward is such a delight! This way I could barrel through most of it, selecting only the parts I wanted to see. What I wasn't expecting was to get totally blown away by a 50 year celebration of Hip Hop?! Tbh, I never listened to hip hop at any age BUT I had heard this and that from a few artists over the years on the radio and I must say.....it grabbed me!
So bloody entertaining and I dare anyone to watch/listen and NOT tap your feet or move your body! ( or tear up at the icons of that genre ) O.k. I know there are lyrics that offend but for the most part....just wow!!
Ashamed that the performance I was most impressed by was Busta Rhymes. I really loved it and then just now I read the lyrics ( offensive words) of what he rattled off at 90 miles an hour! Oops. well there are no take backs, I still love it. ha ha

All right now carry on with the rest of your week everyone...ha ha ha
