Decided to do a play on my Mom's Pot Roast Stew, since I did not have time to cook a whole roast I found some thin steaks and slices them into super small chunks and have that simmer in some Garden Cocktail, Beef Broth with some Worshire (SP?) to make the meat tender and hopefully fall apart. I will than add some portobellos to add some body I did not use as much meat as normal, some button mushrooms and carrots. I will than thicken it up and serve it over some mashed potatoes. Not bad for having no idea what was for dinner at 2:30 and having to work with frozen ingredients.

Just cleaned out the last portions of chili lasagna in time to refill that huge pan with a stewing beef type of meat pie. Very basic. just onions, spuds and carrots in it. It took 4 pie shell portions of pastry to line the bottom and sides and 2 more to top it.

Well, I was spoiled for supper tonight.
Husband made schnitzel. He bought a whole pork tenderloin yesterday - not what we usually use for schnitzel, but he made it work.
It was yummers! Had it with potatoes and pickled cucs/onions.

Tonight is roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, and peas.
Kinda dumb since BOTH kids are home from school today feeling sick so I imagine most of this meal will be leftovers!!"Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

Oh, I do need a name for this dish.
Sauteed ground pork with veggies - onions, celery, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli stems and a few florets, lots of garlic and a can of mushroom soup makes a nice sauce. Served over shell pasta.
