Last night ended up being Hot Dogs, I worked at another location out of town and Mom's shift got changed from 11 to 4, to 9 to 5:30 so by the time we both got home this was as good as it was going to get.

Tonight I am thinking Potato Soup. Will put it on the stove when I get home to simmer until Mom gets home about an hour later. Then we can add finishing touches and there is dinner.

Husband will be having liver - he bought it, but he has to make it. I can make chicken livers the way he likes, but I've never done regular liver for him.
I'll have leftover roasted chicken - and our sides will be leftover potatoes and veggies.

I've been getting those Maple Leaf entrees. Last night I made a stir fry using the sweet and sour pork, and tonight we are having the beef in wine sauce. Both are delicious and the meat is really good quality. They have been on sale at Safeway, I only wish the $3 coupon was still around.

On a side note, I've discovered frozen corn. Growing up, we always had canned corn, so that's what I have always bought. A Swanson meal inspired me to buy frozen corn, since the corn in their meals tastes so good. So I bought PC peaches and cream corn and it is so much better tasting than canned corn. Who knew? Probably everyone but me! lol

We used canned ones when I was growing up too. I normally buy frozen ones now.

^ exactly same situation here with the corn. And I slightly undercook the frozen corn because it reminds me of corn on the cob.

Same situation here. Though I never really cared for the canned vegetables growing up. Now when frozen veggies are on sale, we stock up.

For tonight's supper I picked up pitas on my way home from gymnastics with LO.

Tomorrow's supper will be a type of taco salad with kidney beans and Catalina dressing. A restaurant in town often makes this as part of thier buffet, so I decided to finally try my own.
