SnowFlakey, I thought the same thing about the pork cracklings - skvarky some people call it, we call it шкорки - /shkorke/.
Tonight, really wanted some 'real' fish - so after almost 20 years in this city, FINALLY went to its most famous fish 'n chips shop to get some cod and chips.
Wow, it was awesome - two huge pieces of cod, and homemade fries, with awesome tartar sauce. Pretty cool that it came wrapped in newspaper, too. I also had a coleslaw, and ended up giving half my fries to my husband, there were so many.
He was a sweetie and offered me his second piece (he knows how much I love fish), but I was FULL!Last edited by Natalka; Fri, Feb 20th, 2015 at 07:26 PM.

My aunt will have a big pot simmering on the wood stove and it will be full of ham, beans & veggies, etc...haven't decided if I'm going yet. Woke up with a huge kink in my neck yesterday and it's worse today..lol.. so maybe once the Advil kicks in I'll decide laterLast edited by KelJo; Sat, Feb 21st, 2015 at 08:44 AM.

O.K. , say for instance you spilled coffee grounds into the butter.
How would you get them out , theoretically speaking.
Made buttered coffee, or coffee toast?

I've been reading lately that butter in coffee is a thing? I've never tried it though!
For us, I made 'enchiladas' or that's what I call them anyhow. Chicken cooked in the crockpot with salsa, homemade taco seasoning. Shred the chicken, mix with refried beans (improvised here, had no canned ones so used some homemade frozen chickpeas my friend gave me and my own black beans, mixed them in the mixer until they were mush and added seasonings). Mixed all that up, wrapped into tortillas, baked in the oven with cheese and salsa on top.

Yes, it was.
Apparently there's another place - Haywoods's Grill - which may be surpassing them in yumminess for the fish, so we'll try them next time. And there's a coupon on the Safeway receipt for a family pack, too - like $7 off, I think.
Tonight for supper - easy peasy. M&M jumbo chicken wings, McCain potato patties, raw cauliflower florets.

Today was the first day that I haven't thrown up in over a week, nearly 14wks pregnant with the twins.
I ate baby carrots (free from work) with ranch dressing and a small glass of milk while I got supper started. I have spaghettini cooking right now. We are going to use up spaghetti sauce from earlier in the week. I pulled some roasted turkey out of the freezer because I wanted cranberry sauce. It will all be served with milk. I plan on roasting a whole chicken early this week and will enjoy the cranberry sauce with it too. Not a traditional match of foods, but it will work for tonight.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money
