...I had my surgery on Wednesday and in La La land since..sick, sick, sick,,,but coming around, home in my own bed with great care I think chicken soup is on the menu for this evening

Thank goodness, husband actually ATE real food - I'm so blinkin' happy. (he's been ill and nothing has appealed to him)

Here in Newfoundland we celebrate Guy Fawkes nite ever year 5th November.. we have big Bon Fire for community.. Everyone come and mingle with family and friends.. roast wieners, marshmallows and hot chocolate .. always
big turn out .. Just got back little while ago from celebration ..Guy Fawkes nite !! Another awesome community gathering put off by our fire dept and firettes

Wow !! Lost power around 3:00pm and it didn't come back on until 11:30 pm .. so for supper ..crackers and cheese .. couldn't cook anything that sucked.

Tonight I am going to make a Beef Stew, let it simmer on the stove all day and will give us leftovers to have during the week.

We will see how ambitious I get might make homemade buns to go with it but if not there are some buns in the freezer from a Pot Luck I can just heat up.

...feeling a lot better already, off the heavy narcotics so not feeling so icky....we had a bunch of bon fires in our neighbourhood last night as well...mostly, we just drink beer but I had to skip them all this year, it was cold and rainy anyway. It's a big football day so might keep it simple and order a party pizza from greco....Lets go Broncos!!

Tonight we are having Stuffed cornish hens with potatoes around them while they cook, beets and carrots. Lemon meringue pie for dessert.

Tonite we had jiggs dinner .. salt beef , carrots, turnip, cabbage, greens , potatoes , pease pudding and dumplings and diet pepsi and dessert was blueberry tarts and cream
