..I went to the grocery store this morning to get a few+ cases of water on sale as the sale ends today, I hit the mother load of 30 & 50 % off meats on sale, pork roasts, beef roasts, different cuts, pork chops, belly bacon , wafer thin prime rib steaks $23.78 with 30 % off (that's as good as it gets here), so I bought some of each to build up the freezer... Lettuce (romaine ) was $4.99/head which I think is about normal here so maybe the price will go up this week. I've had a beef blade pot roast cooking on low all afternoon in the oven, I seared it first and have it cooking with onions, red wine, beef broth, garlic, thyme & bay leaf. Might just add some potato and carrots to it later...and seeing that the oven is on I put in a batch of chocolate, cream cheese brownies..after all the warnings about flour recall and not eating raw flour, cookie dough, etc, it was so hard not to eat the leftovers in the bowl!
