I was craving potatoes but had no idea what I wanted with them.

Mom suggested Chicken Tenders for Dinner so we will be having Homemade Chicken Tenders with Homemade Potato Wedges.

Normally I would make a Salad but, although the price has come down, it was from $5.49 to $5.29 at my local No Frills for a 2-pack of Romaine Hearts, Salads are still off the menu. Although I do have some cucumbers, cherry tomatoes & peppers, I could make a lettuceless Salad, if I have any dressing.

Last night I made a delicious Dahl and rice and I still have some of that creamy broccoli soup so Dh gets his choice and Iíll take the leftover.

I bought an iceberg lettuce and we each had a big salad yesterday and thereís still 2 more salads each so thatís also for dinner. Have to use up some orange peppers.

@harbie !! you guys can afford Iceberg lettuce?? ha ha ha Kidding. I am still buying the weirdo stuff that comes in a hard plastic clam shell container and is grown hydroponically.

It wasn't that much cheaper but there was NO waste at all as no dirt on any of it and just a tiny wee cut to take out the core.

Last night was a bit of a clean-out-the-freezer night. We cleaned out the freezer in our kitchen and found a package of Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli that need to be used up so I pulled out a package of Homemade Pasta Sauce and made a Pasta Bake.

Also found 2 packages of Naan each with 1 pc in it so I made Cheesy Garlic Naan on the side.

As well, I used up some shredded Mozzarella that was in the Freezer. Each week I grate our cheeses for the week and if we do not use it in the week I toss it in the freezer so used up some of that as well.

Nice to get some of the oddities and make some room.

LOL, when you donít pay for meat of any kind it frees up more $$$ besides Iíve traded my Starbucks splurge for an iceberg one plus it feeds both us at least 6 salads.

Good grief! I always forget you are smarter than the average bear and do not eat meat! You're so right, what a savings that is. Even buying most of our meats on sale it is still a big part of that grocery bill. I tip my hat to you!!

Itís definitely cheaper but it can be difficult getting the right amount of iron using plants if youíre not careful.

dug out a few things from the veggie crisper that were threatening to spoil....not on my watch! lol Sauteed them up in a sort of stir fry, meatless as I was too tired to defrost any meat.
This early jump I'm getting on cooking/baking and freezing whatever I can for our Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and 2 December b'day celebrations we have planned here is taking it's toll on my back.
I do a bit, then sit, rinse and repeat.

I was craving pizza but knew I would not have time to make Homemade Pizza because I had a 3 pm meeting.

So tonight is Homemade Pizza with the usual suspects: Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Onion, Bacon, Cheddar & Parm.

I also made another lettuceless Salad using Cucumbers, Cherry Tomatoes, Yellow Peppers, Salad Crunch (Various Seeds and Cranberries), Feta and Balsamic Vinaigrette.

I made Broccoli Cheddar Soup and Italian Parmesan Focaccia for lunches this week.

Mom said that sounds good, so now it is tonight's dinner, leftovers will be for lunch.

Food Court meal. Mr Greek had large braised lamb bones that I simply could not resist. I got just the meat there but got my mashed spuds and veg from Bourbon Street.
Haven't had a bought Timmies in so long, so enjoyed a medium with double cream.
