I made a quick supper of tacos. The family ate them as tacos, I prefer taco salad. Served with fresh garden veggies and some zucchini soup I made yesterday. Zucchini....overload. When I knew my neighbours, I used to toss them both zucchini over the fence, these new ones would probably report me to the police.:P
:lolsign: Wish I was your neighbour! Love zucchini.
Taco salad looks so yummy! Great idea for dinner tomorrow. Thanks!
ravioli with marinara, deep fried mushrooms (yeah i play like that) and carrot cake
Lasagna and garlic toast:)
We are staying at a friend's house until the baby arrives. He made fettichini with sauce that he made from scratch. We had ceasar salad and garlic bread with it. :)
the taco salad looks delish. my sister in law makes one with russian dressing and taco seasoning mix and she crushes doritos and adds that to the mix. i was going to make a lasagna tonight but my daughter has requested more corn on the cob so i'm thinking i'll use the rest of the COTC up and make BLTs with my overload of tomatoes.
We're having chicken done in the crock pot with ketchup, pepsi, and onions. :omg:
Sounds totally gross, I know, and I've never tried making this recipe before. I'm hoping all reviews on the internet are correct and that it does in fact taste awesome. LOL.
I'll probably do up some perogies and some veggies to go with. Haven't really decided on that part yet. But pretty much anything goes with chicken so it shouldn't be rocket science! :)
Tonight was shepherds pie complete with cheesy mashed potatoes on top. Such a perfect dinner for a rainy day!
Vegetable soup with crackers for the kids, and home made chili with cubes of eye of round roast in it for me and the mister (the kids hate spicy foods so even though it's mild they won't eat my chili lol).
All of my friends were posting poutine pics for some reason...sooo I broke down and made myself poutine and chicken nuggets for supper. I was supposed to be eating up the opened jar of pasta sauce...but oh well I needed a poutine fix after all those yummy montreal poutine pics they were posting!
I really need to stay away from this thread until my teeth heal :(
Stirfry for DH and another round of mashed taters for me..... or maybe reeeeeeeeally cooked pasta since I lost of of the stiches now ;)
well, dinner was early because I was very hungry at 4:00 p.m. Had the leftover Basa that we baked after sprinkling with Mrs Dash Lemon & herb and Mrs Dash Spicy chicken as well. Mmmmmm...with some new potatoes, cherry tomatoes and baby carrots.
if I had stopped there fine, but I then had hummus with vegetable straws ( OMG! they are so crunchy and delicious) and a juicy big seedless orange!
^ yum. I have orange envy. :)
An orange sounds so tasty right now.
^^ oh and ninna, I am NOT supposed to eat them ( still unsure why?? according to this diet,) but after 18 weeks or so I said Screw It! I am having one, No regrets! lol
Oooo, speaking of oranges, I just got some of my fave ones, from South Africa; I love this time of year because they are the best ones ever!
^ all the above meals sound totally awesome!
We're having roasted potatoes and chicken pieces, seasoned with chili, garlic, and chives. Served with sauteed carrots, celery, and mushrooms.
tuesday toonie.... did an extra piece, was starving.
Taco salad! Had a craving after the pic Marstec posted yesterday.
Love all the great meal ideas in this thread. :)

My family and I went to an all-you-can-eat Japanese Restaraunt the other night.
It was SO good and looking at these photos makes me want to go back RIGHT NOW! :)
This was just a sampling of what we had. We were a party of 8 adults-
it's always better to go with a larger group so you're able to sample more dishes!
these pics took awesome Janetta , i love sushi but i couldn't get myself to eat raw fish!
Last night I made zucchini for the first time. When I've tried it before, it's always been bitter so I never liked it, but my neighbor got me to taste a piece of a young one right from garden and it was delicious...almost like avocado tasting but not mushy. Anyways, last night I sliced one up, breaded with panko and fried; served with a bit of havarti cheese and tomato sauce. It was so good, it was like dessert for dinner!
Since my oral surgeon says I'm back on "smoothie" type food for the next 7-10 days until the swelling comes down and my jaw muscle relaxes I guess I'm making veggie soup in puree form tonight and DH is having pizzza :)
wednesday whopper combo with onion rings.
Mashed potatoes and green beans. --homemade GF chicken fingers and corn on the cob for those that like :)
Late meetings tonight meant that I packed a lunch to take with me for supper. hehe. Sounds so weird. "packed a lunch for supper." There was cumin lentil salad, peaches, and rice cakes with peanut butter spread on top. omg. Peanut butter is like crack cocaine to me. If I were on a desert island and could only have one thing, an infinite supply of peanut butter would be the thing. ;)
I ate a zuchini muffin and a bag of EB roasted pepper parilla.
A&W tonight - most awesome!
I had supper for lunch since I had to work through supper and we don't have use of a fridge or any kitchen space at work...Everything is outdoors in a tent under the heat so I made a bagel for supper...Lunch was pasta with homemade garlic bread. Pasta was nothing special but the garlic bread was amazing. Homemade bread from my mom, topped with margarine, garlic powder, basil, and thinly sliced old cheese then all melted together in the toaster oven mmmmmm
