Because you are all such a wonderful bunch,
You won't need to worry about dinner or even about lunch,
Both of those meals are gonna be my treat,
Pull up a chair, dig in & eat,
I like keeping it simple & not creating a mess,
& you can even wear your finest dress,
Lunch from a can or from a vending machine,
& I hope this lasagna is totally mean,
Walkonby bring the wine & we'll all gather round the table,
& please bring dessert in a jar if you are able!!

When the " zombies " in this house eventually get up today we are doing the weeks meals together again! ( I am jumping for joy, but in my chair)
It worked out very well once I swallowed my pride and asked for help last week.
Turns out they kind of had fun doing it, the peeling, chopping, mixing etc. plus we were all talking and laughed at Dad's idea of diced ( carrot chopped into 2 pieces)
So this week I am not letting them off the hook with the clean up part after ( which I did as I was so thrilled that everything got cooked so fast) .....wish me luck with that part.
menu items include, Shepard's Pie, shake 'n Bake pork loin chops, big ole bowl of extra mashed taters, big bowl of cooked carrots, grilled mild Italian sausages, grilled red & green peppers, mushroom, and onions.Last edited by walkonby; Sun, Sep 11th, 2011 at 01:19 PM.

For us tonight it is new baked potatoes, some sort of veg & slow cooked pulled beef.
OMG I seriously never tasted a roast beef this good before. It cooks for 4 hours low in the oven. Yummo!!

Last night, KFC.
Tonight, leftover KFC and Mexican lasagne - it's Best Value from Giant Tiger, just hope it's not too spicy for me.

So I have been busy this morning making up a menu for the week and it turned into 2 weeks. So far this is how it looks:
Tues(tonight): Chili dogs with a side salad
Wednesday: Bean burgers with sweet potoato fries and a side salad
Thursday: Stuffed peppers and side salad *MUST MAKE
Friday: Slow cooke pork ribs, corn, baked taters and salad *MUST MAKE
Saturday:Veggie stirfry with tofu
Sunday: Slow cooker pot roast with root veggies
Monday: Chicken in a mushroom and white wine sauce over rice with a salad
Tuesday: Meatloaf(turkey) with garlic mashed taters and steamed broc
Wednesday: Zuppa Toscanna with crusty bread
Thursday: Veggies sammies toasted with SP fries
Friday: Tacos with ground turkey and FREE cheese
Saturday: Chicken currey over rice and a salad
Sunday: Chili made with lefover taco fixin's and cheese bread
Monday: BBQ Chicken Pizza with veggies (dough is in the freezer)
Tuesday: Chicken parm with either rice or mashed taters and edamame beans
Now everything is interchangable except the "must makes". They are must makes on that day because I have them and they ned to be cooked before they spoil. As long as I keep close to that order so I can use the leftovers I will be good to go

My meals so rarely have a 'name', lol!
I sauteed finely cut onion, celery, cabbage, cauliflower, and carrots - added ground pork, garlic and other spices, simmered for a while, added a can of mushroom soup to make an awesome sauce/gravy. This was served over macaroni, accompanied by cucumber salad (with sour cream for men, salad dressing for me).
