mmmm. Vegetarian shepherd's pie! First time I've tried this recipe. It was really tasty and my kids didn't believe me when I told them there was no meat in it. hahahahahaha.
I'm glad this one turned out so well; I just hate it when I try a new recipe and it ends up being a dud because I feel like a failure if the whole supper sucks. LOL."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

Gah, there aren't names for so many of the things I make, I just throw together what's around. In a roaster, diced lean pork, bok choy, mixed frozen veggies, spices, etc.; when done, added a can of cream of mushroom sauce to make a nice gravy. Served over rice, very yummy!
Tonight, chicken pieces roasted with onion, potatoes, carrots - with coleslaw or salad.

Tonight I'm thinking some cozy, from-scratch Chicken Pot Pies. Will be seeing if DBF prefers a little Shepard's Pie. Woo hoo cooking and baking! Also today: chocolate chip cookies, half of which will be made into ice cream sandwiches for treats.
My goodness I wish I had a crock pot. It's on my Christmas/birthday list for sure.

Were we the only ones crazy enough to buy a few of the Prime Rib roasts that Metro has on sale? We did one of them up Sunday and ashamed to say there is just scraps left on the platter after all the sneaky late night " snacking " and the guys took some in there lunches. Lots of homemade gravy left and some mashed, but I'll have to throw a couple Dr Oetker pizza's in just for DD and I. ( sigh, that beef was sooo yummy)

Frozen pizza with fries was last night. My favourite brand is Belafresco. We get the five cheese variety.
Tonight: veggie meatloaf, stewed lentils, McCain harvest splendor, and salad.
The McCain harvest splendor is frozen diced potatoes plus a variety of other stuff - tonight's variety was with carrots. It's quite nice. The whole meal was delicious, if I do say so myself
