DH ate a late lunch yesterday so it was dinner for one I warmed the chick thighs that I cooked in a bbq kinda sauce and served on a whole wheat bun with a light sprinkle of cheddar cheese on top.

Tonight DH and I are headed to downtown Vancouver and having dinner at Griffins atThe Fairmont http://www.fairmont.com/hotel-vancou...ning/griffins/ It's paid for by one of his suppliers so YAY!!!! Now I'm off to take a sneak peak at the menu

Anyway, supper tonight will be eggplant - I make it like schnitzel, lightly breaded and fried crispy. I need to find something to go with - maybe potato wedges? Not sure yet. Something for which we can eat off paper plates and not need cutlery, lol!
I've had to do that too and it sucks.

Tonight is some hot chocolate as it's just me( DH went to lake for long weekend)

I made more grilled pork kabobs for tomorrow's supper. DS is running a 4K race tomorrow, I figure by the time we get home we're gonna be tired and I won't want to cook! They're very yummy. And kids love eating food off a stick.

I made ribeye, baked potatoes, broccolini and grilled zucchini. Dessert was a strawberry shortcake filled with pastry cream and whipped cream.

Last night we had dry garlic ribs (from our local butcher; they are yummers), pasta with mushroom sauce, steamed carrots, and salad.

Tonight, husband is going for a banquet, so my son and I will order out from somewhere.

The plan was to replace the one backyard fence that fell over during the winter, so I bought extra food for BBQ to feed the guys while they work, but the weather seems like it wants to stay damp, and almost rainy?? Oy! Might have just a BBQ and no work done this w/e. lol

The plan tonight is chicken parmesan & curried rice,
It doesn't belong together, but it does taste nice,
My dh can make his famous green salad,
As Loocie cooks whilst singing a ballad,
There's just enough carrot cake for our dessert,
& we've run out of maple walnut ice cream, so I'll send an alert.

Hot Dogs with Homemade Broccoli Salad and Chips and Dip. Not the best meals but guess this is what happens when you put yourself back to bed and take an afternoon nap.

We just finished eating supper. It is a cooler day today, so I decided to use the oven. I peeled and roasted several heads of garlic that I purchased on sale (still have 2/3 bag of garlic to deal with...quit when my fingers were hurting). Used some of the roasted garlic cloves to make a sour cream dip for the home made potato wedges. Baked sweet potato, baked white potato, chicken breasts. Boiled carrots.

We let LO feed himself small pieces of chicken and carrot. He had quite a bit of it in his lap when I went to clean him up. He preferred the chicken...interesting since he's not so sure about it in its pureed form. He was also offered some mashed potatoes, both sweet and white...but he didn't want them. I make all of his baby food and he has had all of these foods before. He only has 2 teeth, so feeding himself is relatively new.

I found another great Quinoa recipe. This recipe is taken from the Clean Eating Magazine Apr-May 2013 issue page 28-29. You can find the recipe on the website here. I was not able to find unsweetened cranberries so I lowered the amount of maple syrup used in the dressing.

Here is a comment the author mentions, "I love the flexibility of this salad - you can easily change the ingredients according to your mood or whats in season. Try it with chopped apples, pears, and oranges or dried apricots and pine nuts!"
