Macaroni and Cheese....the thing is, I was out of actually KD and didn't have enough shredded cheese so I put in four slices of Kraft Single cheese to one portion of bowtie pasta and it tastes god awful! Anyone know what I can do to this to transform it to something delicious

^not use sliced cheese....If you have cheese whiz you can try that? I find the slices of cheese just end up like soup. Cheese whiz works well if you combine it with some shredded cheeses it makes it even better. I like to do mine with shredded old cheese and cheese whiz yum!

Tonight for supper I had pasta. Found a container of pasta sauce in the freezer and I'm trying to eat up leftover type things before I move since I don't trust the lids on my plastic storage containers to survive a move with food inside of them...I think I may end up eating pasta every night for supper from the looks of what I have left in that container!

This afternoon I made a vegetarian quiche. Will have to think of some way to perk it up a bit, maybe some parmesan cheese. As usual, I had a huge salad afterwards.

Has anyone tried the frozen "Cowboy Steaks"? I p/u a bag when they were on sale at Foodland awhile ago. They are not too bad but a little salty for my taste. That's what I had yesterday evening for dinner (not sure what I will have today) It was a cold, miserable day yesterday so I seared (thawed) steaks in an oven proof frying pan and then stuck in the oven and baked for 30 mins at 350 deg with a little Bull's Eye. I like my steaks med-well to well done and they turned out perfect in that amount of time. With it I had the garlic bread loaf that came with the pizza deal from the day before (lol) added cheese to 1/2. Nuked potato and creamed corn for DH and I had broccoli; it was good. Quick meal in about 35 mins!

Well I was supposed to be eating up that leftover pasta sauce but had to go get lettuce and noticed no frills was having a huge dollar sale and they had the containers of ziggys cold pasta salads for $1 and it ended up being a better price to pick up a few small ones instead of a large one. Also picked up a bag of $1 fries so made janes chicken strips, fries, and macaroni salad for supper. I can't get enough of that ziggy's macaroni salad for some reason! I can just never make it taste as good homemade no matter what. It's one of my summer guilty pleasures so when it's on sale I buy it. I will resume the spaghetti eating tomorrow LOL!

Last night I didn't have much of an appetite so for DH I cooked some pork chops, apple sauce, sweet potato for a change, mushrooms & onions, broccoli and fresh rolls. Not sure what I will have this evening. I have some jumbo scallops in the freezer and shrimp so I might do a pasta, capellini with a light pasta sauce and quarter the scallops and add the shrimp. Maybe do a tomato sauce instead of the heavy alfredo (which is yummy!lol) (and save some scallops to make bacon wrapped on the bqq maybe on the weekend)

Last night I was trying to figure out what to make tonight since there is lots of gravy leftover from the roast chicken meal.

Son's idea/request, so tonight will be M&Ms jumbo chicken wings, oven fries, and whatever is left of the deli salads we have.
