We were out all day, went to Five Guys Burger and Fries as a few people who work with my mom told her she had to try it. It was good but a little expensive for me, will not become a regular dining out option.

i marinated a small pork tenderloin in teryaki sauce and bbq'd it tonight with some baked potatoes and a garden salad. i'll use the leftover tenderloin for a home made pork fried rice tomorrow (got the recipe in a todays parent mag and its so awesome) with a won ton soup and some egg rolls that i'll pick up at m&ms tomorrow.

wow! This takes like maybe 15 min total to make, longest part is slicing the meat thin.

I love dishes like this. One of the reasons we make dishes like this all the time, under 30 minutes dinner is on the table.

That's the thing about Asian cooking...a lot of prep work and then a quick finish. My husband hates chomping down on pieces of ginger in a stir fry, so I've been grating it and just squeezing the juice into the meat marinade. I don't know how the blade steak will turn out as far as tenderness...that is a simmering cut. To get the really thin slices, I recommend freezing the meat for twenty minutes to half an hour...it will be a lot easier to cut.

We had chicken fingers, fries and salad. Oy, not exactly a gourmet delight.
