And my snack tonight was a 2-pac of Special K cinnamon bars.

I mean.....sometimes an apple just doesn't "do it".
    So there.
Oh. And we bought a huge box of 50 at Costco today.
What can I say...it keeps me sane at night with a nice cuppa green tea.
I like to think that the goodness of the green tea offsets the dubious quality of those bars.

Tonight's supper will be slowcookered - pork loin and a whole buncha veggies - to which I'll add the beef gravy from the other day; served with leftover smashed potatoes.

Well I called it... my fella did make chili last night for dinner. Tonight, who knows what he'll cook up (he's on dinner duty Monday - Wednesday because I work late those days, and then we rotate the other nights)

I know so many people who eat these bars and an added bonus if you know anyone who is diabetic they can eat these. One of the few packaged "bars" diabetics can eat, depending on their diet.

Really?! I didn't know that....I'll have to check the box to see what's in them and email my brother!

LOL on quoting myself! Layered sliced potatoes, diced onions, celery, shredded cabbage, diced carrots - all garlicked, salt and peppered, Italian seasoning; strips of pork loin marinated in soy sauce overtop, added some water. Will later add the gravy to thicken it all up.

Only drawback of slowcookering - the lovely smell which permeates the house all day!

    I don't think that's a drawback - I think that's one of the main benefits of slowcooking
