here is the picture of the woodpecker and I couldn't get any closer and was using a zoom lens so it is a little fuzzy. Sorry about that.

Hey again! I just saw a cedar waxwing today! I got a picture too-actually kind of comical! It is in the midst of eating a berry! kind of funny when that happens!

I cut up apples and put them out for the robins. They love them and pick them clean. Today we had 3 mallard drakes with their shining green head sitting on our dock in the sun.

Went for a walk with my friend and his dog on the golf course in the middle of Montreal and there were Canada geese in the pond on one of the holes. Also hopefully, not sure, Blue jays building a nest in my blue spruce, hope the cats don't scare them away.

lot's of bird sightings - here the sandhill cranes have arrived, and the canada geese but I have seen no signs of robins yet- nor finches, woodpeckers either - maybe too early - but today and although these are not birds they are rare sightings in a single day - my daughter and I seen 2 moose and a black bear, this was kind of exciting.

Saw a Peregrine Falcon in my yard. I see one just about every spring and it is always surrise.
They are so beautiful. I think they are attracted by the many sparrows that call our acreage home.
It was sitting on the side of the garden at the front of the house on the brick They are quite large up close.

Isn't Spring just the greatest time of the year? Robins are building
a nest in the tree just below our balcony - busy little things.
We have several Cardinals building away in the shrubs along the
the back wall as well.
Only problem is they start chirping so early in the morning -
4:30 today.'Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.'

The Cedar wax wings are busy taking down & eating the apple flower blossoms there as busy as the bees lol except have not seen to many bees yet but they should be at the apple trees soon also. Yup birds waking me up at 4:30 am also my sis inlaw lives in South Carolina and she says the birds are much louder over there like being in the middle of a jungle lol.
