I can understand that, though I have travelled on my own many times!
I have friends in Paris and I hope to visit them before long. When we go to visit my stepson in London, we will make arragenments to vist Marie-France and her family!

Thank for the rep! It is great to hear from you! I never realized how many French people live in Nova Scotia... I knew in New Brunswick there were many.... As for the hurricaine... We were in it! Forunately we were not in Halifax whohc got it the worst. They still are not sure if it was a low hurricaine 1 or tropical storm... WE did drive in it as we changed locations almost daily.. How are you?

Oh, that's nice getting another kitty, I'm sure Quark will appreciate it! I always say its better to have another of their own kind for animals to be with whether its a cat or dog! Yes, the price of purebreeds has gone up, it used to be $500 to $800 now its $600 to $1500! Scottish folds are also cute and sound pretty neat if you've read the Norton books written by the writer who had one and took him all around the world with him, hotels would get ready for them and give special things to Norton! You should read the books if you haven't

Hi db band, thanks so much for all your help.....my youngest nephew was living with my brother, and he apparently got insurance $$ yesterday......he's a really nice kid, and has a good head on his shoulders....he will put the $$ away to help with his schooling....he wants to be a cop, like his dad started out.....
.... we're all kinda plodding on as best we can....I'm still in shock...I cannot get my head around never seeing him again.....gawd....TR

Am heading to Nova Scotia at the end of August with the family.... It will be my first trip. The weekend before off to Mtl for my niece's engagment party...oddly Sunday at 1:00 pm... not goood for those who live out of town...

This week is draging for me too for some strange reason
We have been to many there and 2 summers ago we happened upon one that was celebrating its 25th anniversary. They had wine tasing and they had us sit down at a long table... We had samplings of their wine back to their fist batch and even some unfiltered wine. No charge either. The winerie is Reif. Located on Niagara on the Lake. I drank only white wine for years, and suddenly a few years back I began drinking red. It used to give me a bad headache... no more. I have a preference to Merlot, however I will try others... Enjoy Paris! my stepson is arriving from London tonight and is bring me some Crunchie Nuggets... or so he told me... Did you know that they have chocolate mini wheats... I find them rather sweet.... as my usually cereal hasn't any sugar...

This week is dragging for some reason..... Oh well. it makes life interesting!

For your grape/wine tasting, is it from wine you have made yourself or wine from botlles bought at the LCBO? Have you ever gone to wine tasting around the Niagara region? The wineries are exceptional. Our Canadian wine country!

HEY DB BAND! Well, I was a little messed up & over rested this week due to too much rest. I caught a viral infection in my inner ear. caused havoc with balance & nausea. It ruined my long week-end, missed out on visiting friends & family, & because I was sleeping/resting sooo much I couldn't sleep when I should have been sleeping! I visited the Dr. last Sun & she told me to take the week off work & No Driving! Well, I pretty much drive for a living (not really - But LOTS of driving!) so I couldn't really work without driving. I ended up only taking 3 days off & being chauffeured when I needed it. I hate being driven around - put me in the driver's seat.

Personally - anything over 20C/70F is TOO hot for me. Give me a -20c OR F & i'm LOVIN IT!

You are right. He could so easily get burned. I never thought about mosquito or other insect bites. What will you do with him when you go away?
We are heading to Nova Scotia at th end of August. I need a vacation now! Will also head to Montreal the week before we head to NS for my niece's engagement party.
It has been a rather challenging 8 months... with < 1 1/2 incomes....

How was your day lazing by the pool? I was in a pool too! a pool of sweat!
Actually did 5 loads of laundry and they all dried outside, including my king sheets....That makes me happy. No need to use a dryer!
