You may have to explain to your friend that it isn't possible to do everything, and the shower will probably be in the daytime, so you should be able to make it back home. Also, start looking for hotel rates now for the wedding, and remember, they don't have to be really fancy places, as long as they are clean. Maybe ask Wanda Jean if she knows of a good place that's fairly affordable, she's from there.
