My arm was sooo sore... the H1N1 vaccine reminded me of the Gardasil vaccine pain.

That's great Skippy. We have to wait probably another two weeks to get ours here, sigh! But my sister is a nurse and had hers, just had a sore arm for a day.

good to see that some of you goat it without to much trouble....side effects
in our area they say they are vaccinate up to december 20
usully i get the regular flu vaccine..but not in priority this time for me
like a TV show animator said.....when it'll be our turn...
we wont need it we all have the flu
i'm glad that dad will gat it next week, i had to sign for him
but mom, with cancer i redemption, who did 2 embolias in the past, and have some heart issue...is not in the priority
i'm affraid to go see my dad...who knows ...i might be in incubation or carry the flu to him and to the other residents who are awaiting to get the vaccine....grrrrrr !Last edited by Mia001; Sat, Nov 14th, 2009 at 06:35 PM.

Me and the kids had last Friday. Just sore arms, but it didn't stop the DD from her sleep over or the DS from his hockey game, or me from playing on the puter.

My 7 month old has already had his second H1N1 shot and once again no side effects, just a bit of soreness in his leg - Tempra took that away.
Winnipeg has just opened the clinics to anyone that wants the vaccination; DH can now go get his and then the whole family will have been vaccinated.Start earning SwagBucks here: http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/DanesMom

My daughter (11) and I got it a few weeks back and had unbelievable pain in our arms for at least three days. I have had a lots of shots over the years as I lived in Egypt and Europe but this was the most painful of all for me

She is 13 going on 18 or 10, and does not want to get the shot, because of possible side affects. However she needs to because she is high risk.
Any suggestions?

Skippy, that's a tough one. Being her parent and her being under the age of consent, technically you can make her do it I beleive. However, I'm not sure if that's the route you want to go. Honestly I have no worth while advice to convince her. Perhaps take her to the Drs and have the Dr talk to her about it?Last edited by TaraF; Sat, Nov 21st, 2009 at 02:49 AM.

DS fiancee who is a Nurse spoke to her, so we're a go.
Thanks for suggestions and allowing me to vent.
