Haunish -- Have you tried one of those Aloe Vera gels that they sell alongside the suntan creams and lotions? They usually come in a clear container and are a very vibrant shade of green. Those things are like a miracle to relieve the pain and peeling, as they are a good moisturizer and it gets to the pain.
You can honestly use any kind of mint PASTE toothpaste (not gel), put it on the burn, let it dry then buff it off gently with a towel, too. A lot of people swear by this, and it works pretty well for the pain.
Get a really high SPF sports sunscreen (or baby type, honestly) and put that on when you go to the fair. Before you apply it, be sure to get some of the aloe vera gel and put it on a fair bit to dry out the scabs and blisters. I know it will burn, but if you get a "burn on top of a burn" that can land you in the hospital.

I just picked some bright green aloe up and man does that feel good, slight burn on one spot though but that one spot is pretty bad...I have 60spf sunscreen and went and found a shirt that i can cover up and take off for abit when get to hot..I definately dont want to burn again
