I havent made any since my mom passed away 10 years ago. Ive been buying the Paska from the Ukrainian deli store in Montréal. Actually that`s where im headed this morning to get 3 Kubasa, seltisun (headcheese), Krakoska, 2Kishka, two types of liverwrust, kaizerki, Paskas, hryn (hopefully i can get the root, because i cant dig it out of my garden, ground is still frozen). And hopefully i can get blueberry perogies.

^ Oh, you are lucky to have such a place! Here we have to make the breads, or get them at one of the Easter teas put on by the ladies from various Ukr. churches. As for the meats, selection is limited here, but we do the best we can - plus there are only three of us.
I do miss having studenetz at Easter - my mom used to make it, but neither my husband nor son like it - so I don't make it.
Oh, and your post reminded me to take the khryn out of the freezer!
Paskas are rising - with this batch I ran out of dough to make many decorations on them, but that's okay. I have a pretty one for the basket blessing tomorrow.

I made an impossible pie the other day-haven't made one in years and very tasty-the one where you throw everything in a blender and the flour sinks to the bottom to make the crust, the eggs and milk form a baked custard middle and the coconut rises to the top to make the topping. Yum. I just googled for the recipe.

Some of the Paskas - ran out of dough for any fancy decorations on the two on the right.
Of course, they do look better in person!
Someone had asked about the lines on the crust along the sides - when you put the dough in the pan, you put a disc of dough for the base, then a twist of two dough ropes, encircling around to fill, then make decorations for the top. I made swirly crosses, which are hard to see in the photos. Oh I do have one which shows them better, I'll add it.

Black bottom cupcakes for husband's birthday today - anything remotely 'cheesecake' related is what he loves.

Last night I hand rolled and baked 400 lean ground beef meatballs. I turned 3 family sized packs of meat into meatballs. We had some with supper and I froze the rest for future meals.

Wow - let's go to Natalka's house. I baked banana muffins recently. I am humbled by Nat's greatness.

I baked a banana loaf this morning, it's really good. I hope there is some left for someone else.

Did all of our bananas turn overripe at the same time?

It is so funny, I baked banana bread yesterday. Usually, I use frozen bananas because you don't have to mash them. Why didn't I see this thread before?!

I made over 40 cupcakes and topped them with a variety of cake pop animals for the SPCA national cupcake day in March. They were the best from scratch chocolate cupcakes I've ever had and topped with a delish chocolate buttercream (vanilla was tinted green for grass)
