Made a batch of Blueberry Orange muffins this morning. Blueberries, orange rind and i also added some red currants into the mix. And on top i put some white chocolate. But i think i overmixed the batter because its not a moist as it should be. Oh well, its still edible!

I must stop watching reruns of Martha Bakes ( as in THAT Martha ) .
This morning I've baked up 2 gluten free numbers. One is a lemon cornbread cake, the other a flour-less walnut chocolate torte.
The place smells just wonderful....an upside I suppose.

Does an oven mitt count?
Yes, I scorched my oven mitt while roasting sliced peppers. One of the peppers jumped (baking) sheet when I accidentally tipped the sheet. I tried to rescue it with a pair of tongs but got too close to the heating element, setting the mitt on fire. <sigh> The pepper, like the mitt, died a charred death. And I still managed to burn myself badly after I removed the mitt to straighten the parchment paper on the baking sheet.
Ok, besides the oven mitt, the last things I baked were roasted peppers and roasted cauliflower
Both are delicious. The mitt, not so much...Have a great life!

Oh @Silk !! ty so much for that! I giggled out of respect, as I've done similar things.
Sadly it was usually my arms, hands, wrists and fingers that received the scorching. My " baking " scars are legendary.

the choc treat is so rich and decadent, a small slice is about all we could handle. The lemony cake, well that won't last long.
Both of these were courtesy of Martha Stewart recipes.

@Silk , sounds like something I would do. Hoping the burns aren't too bad and you heal up quickly.

We needed some treats of there will be temptation to buy them so this morning I whipped up:
Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Cookies - Mine are not Gluten-Free because my Oats are not Gluten-Free
*These are so easy to make, love them
Chocolate Chip Cookies - I only baked off half of the batch, the other half I portioned out and put in the freezer so next time we want cookies we can pull out a few and bake them off because let's be honest if we make a full batch we eat the full batch.
Now it is time to tidy-up a bit, I clean as I go so it isn't too bad and then maybe I will find something to make with Apple, I have a few that need to be used up.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Chocolate chip cookies. Nothing says I love you for DH and the kids like my homemade cookies.
