I just baked fudge brownies, fryers cocoa recipe that I haven't made in a few years. Dainty caramel triangles, but I substituted dulce de leche for the sweetened condensed milk because it was getting old in my pantry. I also reduced the corn syrup and I'm hoping that I cooked the sauce long enough for it to set up. I haven't made this recipe before.

Here's the link to the squares.

edit: I put the pan of squares in the fridge because they never really set up. It looks like I didn't cook the filling long enough, but I'm sure it will taste great with Icecream tomorrow.

That dolche du leche is really yummy-I had never tried it before we went to Argentina in Jan. Very tasty treat just by the spoonful although I think they mainly use it on toast, in cookies etc.

It is like a caramel sauce. I originally purchased it by accident, which is why I am still trying to figure out recipes to use it in.

Hot cross buns. First recipe I ever tried. No need to look for another one and never have to buy another store-made hot cross bun again.

Yesterday I made some yummy biscuits. I used a mix of white and whole-wheat flour and added cheddar cheese.

pac182 - those are awesome! I've always been tempted to make marshmallow, but just never did.
Does Wilton make the peeps molds?

Hello! I rarely venture into this thread since we don't eat sweets or desserts, but it's our DD's 39th b'day dinner tomorrow and I needed a pure white cake recipe...and oh, my!!
This one turned out just beautifully...the batter tasted wonderful which was a surprise since it does incorporate a box mix, which originally I thought..."yuck"...but it got so many great reviews I thought I'd give it a try.
It came out of the two 8" round pans perfectly, no crumb to worry about when I have to frost it...I tell ya..it's a keeper!
    Just thought I'd share....

It's the Cake Boss's recipe...I'm not sure he does this commercially, but for a single generous 2-layer cake, it's perfect!!

Date Walnut cake as mini-loaves http://www.food.com/recipe/date-walnut-loaf-51281

They were rich like brownies and they sure went fast! Popped out of the pan nicely too. Definitely bake again.

Hot cross buns again. Remembered the citrus peel this time and they taste much better. However. I forgot the cross and the egg wash. DH was pissin' me off all day and I was frazzled. Also made a cinnamon quick bread and the ham and cheese quiche is in the oven as I type this. My share of Easter brunch is complete.

I made a yellow cake with sour cherries in it, as mini loaves.
