LOL. yes like me
question for ya Patty. im going to post a pic shortly of a mini rose bush i have. a few of the leaves have some white stuff on them.
how do i treat them, get rid of them. its 'supposed' to be an inside bush. do i keep it inside regardless of weather. bring it in at night. it needs full sun.
anyway off to take a pic in a sec. to show you better.Be Strong

One of those tiny roses they sell for mother's day? I have never had much luck with roses, I always get powdery mildew or black spot.
I think it you leave it out side now it will be o.k. but bring it inside in the fall once it goes dormant.
Maybe someone else has had luck with these that can give you further info.
The white stuff may have been spider mites too.

i don't even wanna google anything with spider in it. LOL
it was more of a powder. it came off with a swipe. i guess it might have been frost. after it had been in the sun it was all gone.
and yes my son gave it to me. its actually growing quite well. i had left the last one i got in the pot and it died. so this one was repotted, it's doing well.Be Strong

The weather is warmer. Yay! 23- 30 C. I plan on purchasing flowers this week. The lilies haven't popped up yet. Hopefully soon. Green stems extending on the rose bushes. I plan on purchasing wave pansies and wave petunias for the pots. Marigolds for the front and not sure what else yet. Tomatoes, onions, peppers carrots, lettuce and basil for the veggie garden.

I'll chime in about powdery mildew, since I've dealt with it on squash plants... really can't tell from your pic if that's what it is but if putting it in the sun helped it, it could very well be that. Would look slightly fuzzy like what you see on fruit that has gone bad... wel kinda like that lol
I've had some luck removing affected leaves and the remainder spraying with neem oil and also tried a diy milk spray ( but urrrgh it had to be done constantly to battle it). YMMV since this was on a squash and not roses.
Now if it's spider mites, maybe someone else can come along and give you a colorful description for that one
ETA: If you don't deal with it, it WILL spreadLast edited by Tbites; Sun, May 25th, 2014 at 08:15 PM.
