new project today literally took 30 minutes to put together. 2 ready made stair hangers, 5 fence planks and you have a little step garden which I will be putting pots on for DD to take care of. I got little plastic pails in yellow, pink , blue and green for .20 each at Target after easter. They will be the pots and DD ordered through school some strawberry plants and I have a few other things for her to plant also. I will post the progress tomorrow. Next year I will paint it when I paint the fence. Fence painting was not in my plans for this year, I didn't feel like power washing all the paint off the 60 feet of it on that side

Everything should do well as it gets full sun almost all day.

What a beautiful way to have Keira fully engaged in the garden. Patty you know you are awesome right??

The weather has been iffy. Raining quite a bit, 15-16 Celsius. This Friday and Saturday it's suppose to be 25-26 C. I haven't planted anything yet. My rose bush stems are turning green. Lilies no sign of life (nothing peeping through the soil). And yes those dreaded weeds appear no matter what. I pulled them a few days ago. I may wait another week or two before planting annuals to be sure.

Patty did you drill holes into the bottoms of all those pots for drainage? My DH bought large Dollar store ones, and they had no holes, so out came the drill, lol

I drilled, very carefully cause I cracked the first one . After that I put landscape fabric in the bottom to stop the dirt from getting out.

Here she is all planted and watering.

That was going to be my next question because DH cracked our first one as well, I say np more drainage! Keira looks so proud to have that corner all to herself. Honestly this will leave her with an incredible memory for many years.
