Off to do some shopping with my g/f this morning...it's drizzly and trying its best, bless its heart, to
kill off what's left of the snow....

Don't you dare say it, Walks!! Been there, done that, and it's been too dang long, recovering from it!!
Won't take long for me to drop from shopping...never does these days, so short day trips out seems to be the key...then lunch of course...

Good-ish morning....well, we've gone from NO snow yesterday, to a winter flipping wonderland.
It's -2...balmy according to my hubby...sigh...A good day for me to make more paper advent calendar bags for all the new little treats for our grandson...they have to be done by the end of the month...lol...

It's 15 here today. Won't have to pull out the winter coat when I leave for work. I'm wondering if this will be one of the last days in double digits before March. Almost wish I had taken my last week of hols now so that I could go to Maine for some Christmas shopping.

we did a quick run over to the States today. I tried to find some boots that - a. fit (with my orthotics in)
b. tie up (to give my ankles support) c. are warm (for when I walk the dogs) d. don't have heels (can't do heels) and e. don't look like granny-grunch! - Impossible! I used to wear size 7 - now it's at least 11 - flat feet, you say? My feet are a mess!
When will they bring back those floor length coats we used to wear? But as I recall, I had over-the-knee boots then - Ah to be young!

it's hard to find boot with low heel or no heel. another thing i find is that the bottoms of the boots are slippery. they don't have a good tread. remember crepe soles? they were ugly but at least you had a chance of not slipping when walking on icy pavement!

I can stay cozy inside, husband has to work outside this week.

Today will be a puttering day... I did too much yesterday, and paid for it last evening, and will today - too many things hurt!

Hi, all....back from physio and thank goodness I mentioned my "shin splints" to her...I was walking wrong. Go figure. I actually have to THINK about how to walk when I'm walking...this has been a very long road....but onward and...onward!

Dropped in at Target, picked up a few things, and now I'm exhausted and hurting, but it was fun to be out with my hubby and it was sunny!!! That's gone now, and it's starting to get flaky out there...hmph. And I'm still not finished my shopping! NO idea about SIL, although thank goodness he really loves the sweaters and shirts I buy him, but I wish I could think of something more original...sigh...even our DD had a problem with a gift for him, so she took him shopping and bought him 2 suits, 2 slacks, 4 shirts, 4 ties, and a belt. Then she went back for the wool outdoor jacket as a surprise for him. Same for my hubby...no idea. It's so difficult to shop for guys!!!!

Avon....I went through much the same thing this year and it was so frustrating! I also wanted a low heel and non slippy sole, but nothing, so I'm back to my pair from last year...thank goodness no one can see the one velcro strap across the top under my slacks! But it's all I can manage for now.....sucks getting old, eh? Our DD made me try on her Uggs...I think I may be getting a pair from her for Christmas this year...omg, they're SO comfy! Have you tried Uggs, Avon? Might be just the thing, and she says they're not slippery at all and very waterproof....Good luck!

Off to veg on the sofa for a while....stay warm and dry, everyone!!
