Good morning!

Well, my teacher loved my homework and the work I did on my painting yesterday, AND held my picture up in class to show everyone my "detailed technique"! And here I love the loosely-goosey, watery technique! Well, I'll just have to practice that until classes start again in the fall.

And how is everyone today? Another dreary morning that's supposed to climb to a sunny 25... We'll just see about that. I'll be quilting our grandson's camp quilt today and finishing it off, then doing a little sewing for me.

Lynn, I agree with Nat, would LOVE to see your paintings!!

It is a beautiful day today! i think around 18 and will go up to 28 (not sure how much it will be with the humidex).

Life has been busy for me - trying to shed those winter pounds, lol. We are renovating the bathrooms, kitchen and redoing the kids rooms.

Has Dan gotten married yet???

Thank you, Ladies! When Avon was here with her hubby visiting for a few days I let her have a peek at it, so she's seen it as a work in progress, lol, but yes, I'll post it when it's finished. I have 2 more classes with my teacher, then I'm on my own to {{gulp}} finish it. My hubby says he wants to frame it and put it up...poor sweet, long-suffering guy..

I just finished quilting the top of our grandson's camping quilt, now all I have to do is sew on the binding and it's done!! Except for the little dedication I want to embroider to attach to the back. I'll have to head up to Michaels for some aida cloth for that. I'm also very proud of the double-Irish chain queen quilt I made for my hubby and I...I'll post that, too...much more elegant than a quilt with moons and suns on it...LOL!!

Angel, you're renovating all of those at once?! Oh my goodness, that's ambitious; I've never tackled but one room at a time...good luck with that! Do you have before and after pics?

Well...lunch break is over, so it's time to face the music and finish the border on that quilt.

I hope everyone is having a sunny day...ours is still off and on sunny, but it's 21 now, so after that I'll head outside with Jenny for a well deserved rest.
