Birds singing joyfully pre-dawn, so nice to hear!

Had an awesome evening yesterday - unusual for us to have a big meal during the week, but I had fresh beef I wanted to cook so our son came over for supper, so I made roast beef and other yummies - but better than that was just having a great time all together. And sweet Milan just didn't want to leave - we just miss each other SO very much! I packed him up leftovers, some cheesecake, and other food to take home.

I'm on pins and needles waiting to hear from our Daughter, who's at the hospital waiting to see her orthopedic doc about her broken foot!! My Hubby drove her, since she was going to drive herself...gah!...so they're sittin' there over coffee, chatting away, apparently. I think I'll jump 3' in the air when the phone rings!!

Other than that...putting the finishing touches on my Grandson's camp quilt..I decided to outline the full moons with silver metallic thread and finished the pillow case to go along with it...I'll post a pic for the gals here who want to take a peek at it when it's all done.

​I've simmered a pot of reppin' stew,& I'm gonna share it will all of you,
It's got parsnips, potatoes, carrots & beans,
Some tomatoes, snap peas & collard greens
Red peppers, green peppers & garlic galore,
& you can’t buy this stew in your grocery store,
I’ve added lots of onions that were evenly diced,
& a slew of seasonings to keep it spiced,
Some corn, some chick peas & some guy peas too,
& the secret ingredient, if you only knew..

Mmmmm, just in time for dinner too Loocie!! thanks. Lynn hoping the news is good about DD's foot or she might be tempted to shove it up the Dr's.......oh no wait, she's a lady, nevermind! ( for safety's sake don't jump too high when that phone rings )

Hah! Even a Lady might be tempted!
News is that a bone in her instep is fractured, so she'll take 6-8 weeks to heal. She has a walking boot that's like a brace, and it makes her walk on her heel.....with crutches, which, to no one's surprise, she can well do without, lol...So no break, no surgery. Whew!

I finished the quilt and pillowcase, took a pic or two, so I'll post one tonight or in the morning...now onto stuff for me!
