Thanks 22hicks.
About this bear.... i don't know why they are not moving him to his place where he should be. But one thing is that it's B. C. Here wild life is given priority over others. I mean to say that they don't like to interfere with our wild gems. They think that these wild animals will go away on their own. So may be that's the reason they are alarming people to take precautions instead of politely asking this animal to go away.
A few months ago school district and newspapers issued a warning that a COUGAR has been seen behind Airport Elementary School. There is a forest behind my son's school (Airport Elementary School). So you can imagine how scared I was everyday sending him to school. But they didn't locate and move that cougar away. It went away on his own. I don't know the reasons.
oh.... let me share how close my son's school is from my house. Lol.
i am standing in jy front entrance taking this picture. And the forest you see on the right hand side is where the cougar was seen. This building in front is the Airport Elementary School.
Okay ni... back to my studies now.Last edited by amira84; Sun, Jun 14th, 2015 at 09:38 PM.

Good morning to all who are gathered here!!
I just realized...that's Dan there, surrounded by us chicks!!!
Good morning..for today and tomorrow...just a really nice family b'day for our Grandson yesterday!!! But sheesh I'm tired this morning! Tomorrow I'm at the hospital for 7am for pre-surgery tests and a meet and greet with an anesthesiologist. That should take, the gal said, about 4-5 hours!!!!? Good grief..... So I doubt I'll be on here in the wee hours of the morning...
Have a lovely day, everyone!!!Last edited by Lynn49; Mon, Jun 15th, 2015 at 08:12 AM.

Lynn, I have a like / hate with those pre-ops. I hate that it takes soooo long, but like the fact that the surgery is really going to happen, and soon. I look forward to getting it over with. I hope it goes well.

Hey, I forgot to say good morning. Good morning every1.
NOW I can take a few minutes for my coffee. Oh, how I need that !!
Jake had me up about 2, 4, 6, then 7:30 last night, so I'm still really tired.
But, his injection is done, his syringe & capsule meds in, he's eaten his chicken & rice for breakfast, and had his 1st walk.
(I barely made it around the block - I'm so sore & tired - should have used the walker)
Have a great day all, even though it's Monday.

22hicks...my hubby makes up frozen "patties" from human foods..it's so convenient, we just take one out of the freezer and put it into a tupperware container and replenish as we need it. She gets about 1/3 of one per day along with whatever meat we're having each evening. It's lean ground beef, a can *2? of mixed peas and carrots, 3 doggie multivitamins, dash of garlic, and 1/2 the rice to ground beef mixture. He weighs each portion out, puts them into muffin tins and into the freezer they go, then he takes them all out and puts them into freezer bags! Sometimes we'll drizzle a little vegetable or canola oil onto it if we see her skin drying out (not olive oil!) and she loves that. He fries up the beef, prepares the rice (either brown or white), then pulses up the vitamins with the peas and carrots, mixes it all up and done! I think he makes up about 18 large 'muffins' at a time, so they last a long time for Jenny. Hope that helps a little...
And yes....although I'm looking forward to having no hardware in my leg anymore, I sure wish I could get there without the surgery!! My last anesthesiologist didn't want to put my full "out" because of my high (but controlled!) BP, so I may go the "twilight" route; my surgeon said I wouldn't know or care what the heck she was doing to my leg in that condition. Hmph. Problem with that is....like my Mom and our DD, we take a looooong time to freeze, so I have no idea what to think or do!!Just a little scared, actually.....

You're welcome, Walks!
We fudged a recipe from the internet to please little Missy's palate, and he does vary the veggies now and then...if we have left-over sweet potatoes, in they go (no white potatoes) for instance. She's healthy, her coat is shiny and she actually eats the stuff! He also dehydrates sweet potato slices for her as treats...I think next time we'll try wrapping a bit of bacon around sweet potato sticks...she just loves them when we buy them at the pet stores, but sheesh they're expensive for what you get!
Well...I've downloaded a couple of "chick lit" books for tomorrow's 4-5hr hospital adventure; I hope I like at least one of them and haven't already read both of them!
Hope everyone's having a great day...and thanks for the freebie, JoLRoD!
EDITED to add: we also buy liver, and packages of hearts/gizzards, as well as chicken, etc and add it to the beef...a nice variety for them and for the good that stuff does for them.
And don't forget the doggie vitamins! The first time, you'll see how much it makes and how long your pup takes to get through it...then check the doggie vitamin bottle to find out their daily dose, then multiply by the number of days it took your pup to get through that first mixture, and the next time you make it up, grind them up and put it into the mixture...Jenny doesn't even notice it's there!
Enjoy!Last edited by Lynn49; Mon, Jun 15th, 2015 at 07:52 PM.
