Chat-A-Thon Thread

Hmmmm, chili, I'll take some sheets, haven't had any chili in a long while. It's funny, you'll make something once a month or so for a long time, then all of a sudden, it just drops off the radar. When I make chili, I love to make roasted garlic and cheese biscuits to go with it. Last night's dinner was of coarse take out. My dh brags at what a great cook he is (as he is hanging up the phone from ordering out), LOL. I had a bowl of soup, not ready for big meals for a while yet.

To Sheets: Congrats on your new puppy....too cute....may she bring you and the boys lots of love and laughter. Enjoy her.

To Angel: I'm like you.... I wouldn't like the responsibility of someone child who isn't mind or is family.
I do think that you just need to be firm and say to to Mother that you don't mind every once in awhile, but as your responsibility is to your own kids and the fact that you have a toddler and we all know how busy they are at that stage, you would feel at lot better if she would tag along too whenever you're going to the park and her son wants to come to supervise him.
It's great that they can go at the same time so that they have a buddy to play with, but your time is already divided between your two children. If she don't want to come then just tell her you can't take on the added responsibility of watch her son as you already have your hands full.

life is well.
the lady and i have booked our first venue visit for the season. we'll be heading to see the place in mid May.
as for right now, we've got an engagement party to plan!

Bub, they're gorgeous! I should make them for a block party this June...pretty finickety work though, eh?
I've made those cherry-cheesecake tarts...you know the ones with the plain cookie in the bottom, then baked with the cheesecake filling, then topped with cherry pie filling? They always go over really well, and I was asked to bring them again. This might be a nice change!

I'm sure it was lovely, Sheets! I meant to post my rose cake I made for Easter...my first attempt at that new roses technique..turned out quite well for a first attempt! I'd love to try it again.....

btw...did you see the "Cars" cake our DD made for their little guy for his birthday last year? It's in my "crafts" photo album on my home page...This year he's ordered Spiderman.
