Good morning all.
Walker, enjoy the game. Don't forget to get there early enough to get your floor mat.
That's a good idea Nat.

We had lots of rain and Loonie sized hail which stayed on the ground for a long time, Thankfully not a lot of lightning.

Wow, glad you guys weathered this storm.
Nice that the Jays won!
Well, I had an odd day today, not unlike my yesterday. My Meniere's was bad, so spent a lot of time in bed. When out of bed, crying and complaining...
So I got up at 11 p.m. and am having a coffee now.

We got off the subway and into the line up to go inside just about the right time! They had just started to let people in the gates, so not too much time spent melting in the sun waiting. Our mats are laying proudly at the front and back doors here, I LOVE them! I prefer them over a Bobblehead actually.
Oh Hicks!! We felt so lucky! Not only was there hitting and great drama ( Well, the umps bad calling we will NOT even go there ok? he was wrong plain and simple. )
but we had just fabulous " neighbours " seated on either side of us! When you're squeezed in so close together it sure is nice to be next to people who WANT to be there, fans that are super pumped and supportive on every pitch and are of course rooting for the same team.
The lovely young couple next to me were from Hamilton and the fellow was a real yeller and I LOVED that because it allowed me to scream my head off too!
We kept watch over their things while they grabbed some food and drink and they surprised my hubby with a " thank you " beer! ( which he promptly gave to me since he'd had his one already and knew he'd be driving later )
Of course a few innings later when DH went to get me a bag of popcorn ( as we could never catch the guys going up and down the aisles!) he came back with a bag for them to share, as I said we had a lovely time, weather was the best, so much fun being there.
Dang though, I wish it had not been better than watching it on tv because now I can see me wanting to go to another one!! ha ha. I'll be watching the game at 12:30 today for sure.Last edited by walkonby; Mon, Aug 3rd, 2015 at 09:56 AM. Reason: had to insert smiley!!

Walks, glad you had such a great time!
Happy Saskatchewan Day!
This giant coffee pot is in Davidson SK - because it's halfway between Saskatoon and Regina, it's a favourite stop for coffee.

I'm so happy for you Walker. Yes, you miss a lot of discussion when you're not watching on t.v., but what a wonderful game to be at in person. Great that you had good neighbours too. Bet that won't be your last game either. LOL More money, but an afternoon well spent. Wish I'd been there.
Jake so had to go out at the beginning of the 8th inning, but I wasn't budging from in front of the t.v. He just had to cross his legs. lol
Glad you're turning today's game on about 12:30, I'm sure you'll hear a lot of comments about yesterday's game.

I thought the actual GAME start was at 12:30 start, glad I tuned in then and got to hear all the chatter from various sources.
Had a lovely surprise phone call and as a result invited the guest over to watch with us!! ( they have no Sports channels ) and we ended up with burgers, dogs on the grill, spuds, fresh green beans picked from the garden and some wine......could not send them home half way inebriated, so we extended the visit with coffee and black forest cake......we just HAD to be responsible hosts!! ha ha
