Hello!!!
Back from camp yesterday afternoon but there's always stuff to do and I didn't get on here except for a second or two...

@Natalka, fantastic news about your new computer!! Thank goodness for kids, we continue to remain on here without too much trouble.. But don't get me started on smartphones! Still a mystery to me but as long as I can use the phone part, take pics and text, I'm fine.

@danger_dan...so sad your earfoams (what our DD used to call them as a wee tot) broke; I hope you find an even more spectacular pair today!!

@SillyLoocie: Join you for blender drinks and a chat? Don't mind if I do, thank you!! That sounds heavenly. As for the guys...meh...I'll stick to the drinks..



Well....speaking of drinks, but around a campfire, DH suggested that we spend February in Florida again next season. He even mentioned buying a place but ohhhhhh nooooo!! No-no! I will NOT spend winter there, away from our DD and Grandson! Honestly, I absolutely do not understand how people leave even before Christmas for Florida or Texas, leaving their kids behind with their kids! Unthinkable for me. To be away from family that long.....yep. Unthinkable. So rent we shall unless my knee-replacement is scheduled around then.

Today I finished sewing my new silky top together and it's gorgeous!! The shoulders are a little big so I have to take them in, but otherwise...it's unlike anything in the stores! Which is a very good thing! I'm done for today, but tomorrow, take in the shoulders, and hem the bottom and sleeves and that's it!! Another top for Toronto...and I still have time to do something else for me!

I hope you're all enjoying the summer that's finally paid us a visit...I'm heading outside to water our gardens, and I hope you're all having just as great a day!!!

I know I'm supposed to do a full shut down for things to run at peak efficiency...I've had projects ongoing that required the computer stay on running programs over night...probably should have done a full shut down about a week ago...that's alright. Things up and running full speed now.

No if only my head phones hadn't have decided today was a good day to break, I'd be golden.
I'll spend a bit of time shopping around tonight for another set.

Hi, @22hicks ! Nice to be back..and back to sewing that top! I have my next pattern in front of me, now I just have to rummage through my plastic bin(s) of fabric to find a suitable one. I may have to make a trip to Fabricland, though...

Yes, 2 weeks until we celebrate Hubby's 70th and naturally our DD has jam-packed an itinerary for us, bless her heart...I'll really need to decompress from this trip when we get home!

Oh, gosh, me too...DD ordered the hotel car to pick us up at the airport (downtown) but it sure wouldn't be fun dashing in and out of taxis in the rain for a few days. Poopy.

Just got back from Canadian mining expo. Got a free shirt and free BBQ. 5 days off work starting today. Time to rest up because I'm turning into an old man lol.
