@avoncallingu - up for 18 hours; I hope you had a good nap.
On top of everything else you have to deal with, you must have been pi$$ed spilling that soup. Oh well, a good excuse to wash the floor.
Your DH slept the 4 hours the PSW was there, lucky her.
Then, to top things off, you're entertaining this w/end. Where do you get the energy?
    Take care of yourself.

    A drunken stupor. You're too funny @walkonby . LOL

Hey, that's a perfect ornament. I should replace my angel with that one.

@Lynn49 - I hope you got out for awhile today to help with your cabin fever.

I'm sorry you're feeling so down. Remember all the stuff you've gone through with your leg over the last couple of years. There is a light @ the end of the tunnel - you're 'running the final leg'. (sorry for the pun)

Lol still want a bean bag chair or something eventually but thought right now bedding and some other things were more important. The comforter set from bed bath and beyond still says order being proccessed but my paypal account hasn't been charged yet.

My whole place is the size of a small bedroom which does include a small kitchen space, closet, bed etc but washroom is shared and across the hall from my place. Some people that have seen the room where I live in the past before I moved in are impressed with i used the space.

It definitely takes some talent to make a small space, not just usable, but attractive and not overcrowded. WTG

Hey, I resemble that remark, @22hicks!!! Well, those that can't can enjoy seeing others getting "baked" as that gingerbread fellow reads, and enjoy feeling SO much better than everyone else the next morning!!
Thank you for the encouragement, Hicks...you're right, it's sure been a long, long haul and I'm ready to put this whole thing behind me. I see my surgeon just before Christmas so I'll ask about that behind-the-knee hamstring or tendon pain. If it's just something that'll heal with time, I'm fine with that; I just don't want it to be another surgical problem!!

That ornament really is cute!! And yes, Hicks, I did manage to get out today...WM for a few make-up things I needed, and found some ornaments, 2/$10, one Olof for our GS and lol....a Thor for our DD.....I'll just attach them to the ribbons I tie on their presents. Oh, reminds me: I'd better check if I have enough ribbon...I don't use those made-up bows in bags because I just love tying bows on presents...makes them so pretty. And they don't un-stick. Then we went to Costco to buy our ground beef...DH freezes them in 4 separate bundles, and actually weighs them to make sure they're all the same....I guess it's the mathematician/chemist in him. He added them together as a lark to see if the entire package was properly labeled and we actually had more than what the weight on the label stated! Yes...life in the fast-lane, folks!!

@Avoncallingu, (why is that not turning blue?) how busy you are, but I'm just SO darn happy that you're now getting those 4-hr respite blocks!! Even though you may be running errands, I hope you take a little time for a cup of tea and a scone somewhere before heading home....does a body and mind good.. Keeping you in my prayers, Sweetheart...

It'll be an early night because the day was just so exciting, doncha know...I feel as if I've hit a wall already.
Avon, I pvr'd that "Christmas lights" show, so I'll watch it in bed and skip thru those commercials. I LOVE this time of year!!!

    Sweet dreams, everyone!

    Good night all.

Oh @Lynn49 , it didn't turn blue because it wasn't 'EXACT' - it should be a lower case 'A'

who in their right mind wakes up at 4 a.m?? Me I guess?? WM doesn't open till 7 a.m. so bummer!! Oh well, good morning gang, happy to see nothing can keep the determined shoppers from finding a way to the stores! Illness, pain, injuries, surgery and slow recoveries have dared to try, so congrats to us all for having tough resolve.
Our wee Murphy ( shih tzu ) is sort of on the mend from his bout of loose bowels, but not quite 100% there yet and he is starting to get quite annoyed but is still adorably curious ( head tilt and big brown eyes staring ) when it comes to him not getting his usual treats, which are full of fat I am sure. Soon, Murphy....very soon.

walks, I was up just after 3, just not on here.

Husband worked outside all day yesterday, when the windchill was in the -20s and it was really windy out, working on rooftop units so others could have heat. He came home, luckily I had hot soup ready, so he ate that and headed straight to bed for the evening.
Hoping he doesn't have a repeat of that today, because windchill will be -29 today. Barely any snow, though.

    Enjoy the day, everyone!

    Morning Nat,
I spoke with a friend who lives out a little farther west of you, Camrose AB, last week and he mentioned they'd be getting the bone chilling weather this week...Always like getting the weather report from him, since The 6 usually gets a little toned down version of that weather in the days to follow.
