4 weddings!!! :O
My mom just told me about a shower gift I could in on. I told her what I could afford. I felt proud of myself for saying this is my budget and I am not stretching it for others...probably the first time I have done this. Her response was positive too, adjusting the price point of the gift."There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

It's fun helping with the wedding since its going to be very traditional. Ours was modern in the carribean. I love weddings and planning so its fun to help.

Since we were planning on moving to Canada and being old and stuff, we had a simple civil service. 3 weeks notice for the banns and very little planning. I was rushing around 2 days before the service buying a suit for the ocassion..

Morning, all.....yawn.....Up early, we played euchre with 'the kids' until midnight...even Jenny didn't want to get up; she gave me this look of panic, slid back under the covers to cuddle my hubby. Traitor. But it's nice a quiet for now..
A nice quiet day of watching the Masters, then Jenny and I have our usual 6:30 Sunday visitation at a nursing home, then home to collapse. Next week hopefully the wallpaper for the kids' billiard room will be here and hubby and I can pull the whole room together and surprise the kids! Busy, busy!
Lola....that's one of the things I love about performing weddings...meeting with my couples and hearing all about their wedding plans....I'm a sucker for weddings!!
Sunshine, good for you re crafts!! I doubt there's one I haven't done over the years!! Enjoy! Any idea what craft you're interested in?
Have a lovely day, everyone!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday so far. I have been trying to wait out my DS and DD (18 an 19) with their dirty laundry. I swear they change at least 2 times a day not to mention new towels for each every day. I certainly think that they are old enough to be doing some of their own washing. I have sadly discovered that they will wash one outfit at a time as required. Hubby looked and me last night an said "..not to be rude BUT are you ever going to do the laundry....".
So now I have two kids that complain about no clean clothes and a hubby who is not backing me up. Sooooo, after 1 week, I have thrown my hands in the air an have now started on mounds of laundry.
Ok, rant over LOL. That is a small problem in comparison to others problems . Pity parties for one are never healthy

LOL.....I had to laugh at the "clean towel" every day...our DD was like that when she lived with us...a new towel after her shower every day. Now, being a working wife/mom...not so much!! hahaha!!!
I never minded doing the laundry as long as the kids shoved their dirty laundry down the laundry chute we had....of course, I was not allowed to do her 'school' clothes since I could never do them as well as she could...lol...Really? How disappointing! haha!!
Maybe if you run a few of their white undies in with new red socks they might decide to do it themselves??
Have a lovely, if not particularly relaxing day, Hon!

My mom had both my sister and I doing our own laundry by 15. I also had a job by 15. We were expected to be somewhat independant. I'm guessing it's because both my parents were very independant at a young age (had my sister and got married at 16&18).
When I met DH (at 20) he barely knew how to do laundry. I've pretty much did his laundry since we met.

Weird. My "Like" button isn't working. Might need to refresh or restart the computer. It's been acting funky all morning.
