The whole family did an overnighter and emotions ran high for me while seeing the residents of this Sanctuary/Zoo/Park once again.... loved interacting with some of the younger animals in the Behind The Scenes experience, surprisingly impressed by the gentleness of the larger more intimidating ones.....yes I mean wolves and a hyena. Farm fresh eggs are provided for breakfast time. I wanna go back!!!

Just got back from my sister's. Took her home Sat. and stayed with her.
She's sleeping, somewhat comfortably, and I will be too - soon.
Her dd just got back from a week's vacation, so later today, she's picking up her mom, & she'll be staying with her dd till the next surgery.
Have a good day, even though it's Monday, the last one in Nov.

Good Morning everyone... Well, both Ottawa teams did well yesterday, the Red Blacks won the Grey Cup... The cup is finally coming back after 40 years... and my Sens won last night... Congrats to them both... Not a lot to report. It's Monday... too early, should be still in bed... Ah well I hope YOU all have a GREAT day, and those who have to drive... Please Drive Carefully... Good morning, everyone!!
@Redneck Charger : WHAT a game last night!! Thank goodness I didn't have a favourite (sorry) because I would have been in sheer panic so many times during the turnovers during the whole game...I thought it was "over" for one or the other team too many times! Congrats to Ottawa!!

I wish I could have slept in this morning, but Jenny, as usual, did her 'duty' after she had been let out to do her business by bolting it up the stairs and jumping on the side of the bed to let me know it's time to get up. I tried to pretend to sleep but I just knew that two big brown eyes were staring at the bed and really, who can resist Doxie eyes?! As soon as I put my hand down to pet her and say, "Okay, I'm up...", she bolts back downstairs to be on her daddy's lap until I get there, at which time it's my turn to tuck her into her sherpa blankie to go back to sleep. Something definitely wrong with that picture...she gets to go back to sleep?!

I'm considering asking DH to take me somewhere...a 50% coupon from Michaels is burning a hole in my dressing gown.....but really, I don't need anything, and we'll be at physio tomorrow so we can do whatever then, although it's calling for rain.

@Lynn49 Her treatment will be in sudbury and I'm pretty sure she is staying with her daughter while there unless it includes extended stay in hospital. Also a couple grand kids there. Her son and daughter in-law live here in Timmins. I sent her a text last night to say I hope all goes well and I love her.

When I pick up my groceries on Friday I want to get just 1 dessert. Was tying to choose between pecan pie or the too tall orange cream cake. That cake is so damn good though lol but it's $16 and the pie is only $7..I don't buy many desserts and what I get is all I get for a whole month. I don't have dessert with every dinner but nice to once in a while.

@cabmonk , my vote is for pecan pie!! With our GS allergic to nuts, we can't have it at family gatherings anymore and it was always my DH's favourite. I don't make it now because we'd eat it. All.

I didn't go anywhere today because I didn't get to sleep until after 2:30am last night and hurt my knee getting into bed for a nap. Dang!!! Another step back. DH had to give up the computer to me because now I'm pouting again.
