Thanks Lynn and yeah nice to have someone there for her. I don't visit her much unless she invites me for a family dinner or something. She does have her son here. She knows I don't drive and I'm pretty sure she thinks I talk too much so she can handle me in small doses lol.

Yeah I'll decide on something when I place my order tues or wed to pick up fri. Actually I think I'm not really supposed to have nuts much because of gout. One thing when I lived with my cousin and his family for 3 years. My cousins wife is a health nut and her daughter is vegetarian. She was surprised at how good my portion sizes were. I always have her voice in my ear if I'm ever about to do something stupid lol.

@Lynn49 Her treatment will be in sudbury and I'm pretty sure she is staying with her daughter while there unless it includes extended stay in hospital. Also a couple grand kids there. Her son and daughter in-law live here in Timmins. I sent her a text last night to say I hope all goes well and I love her.

So I placed my order with m&m foods to pick up friday at a total of $278..Hope I fit it all in my freezer lol. Usually I'm pretty good as I take most items I can out of their outter package I can squeeze it all in.

Hello, everyone!!

A BIG day today at physio...my therapist is to happy with me: I can now, while lying down, actually lift my foot off the bed!!! Yah!! Big strides! haha...and that only took me a month to accomplish! Now if my hamstrings would just not hurt I will be able to do stairs, leading with my operated leg to go up, leading with my good leg to go down. I can just about do it on a 3" step, but 4"?? I'd need a Depends!!! Ouchies!!

And how was everyone today?? Shopping almost done? Baking? Presents purchased and wrapped?? DH and I did a little shopping after physio, but I was done after an hour (while in a wheelchair!), came home napped for about 2 hours!

Our GS had an awful flu...since yesterday, tummy pain, vomiting; the dr said it was a flu, all tests were negative, so ... better now than at Christmas, thank heavens. He'll be home from school the rest of the week.

I took Jake to the park, & the dandelions are all blooming again.
Even my crocuses are back up.

@Lynn49 , you're doing great. Keep up the good work, and you'll be able to do stairs before Christmas.

My DS & DIL just left. They came over to put up my tree.
I guess I'll start decorating tomorrow if I have some time.

Yeah i hear ya it has been weird around here too. The river started to freeze up and today it wasn't frozen at all.

Well, today the city is working on a sewer line on our street, so the water will be shut off for the day. Can kind of live with that, but what I hate is the days following - when you have water, but it isn't 'safe' and you have to boil it until the city clears it. So last night we loaded up pots of water, and filled the bathtub (to use for flushing) - and wouldn't you know it, Vader the cat somehow got too curious - I was in the kitchen and she came in flying from the bathroom - yep, she fell in the tub. One unhappy kitty, and what a mess....
