Stayed the same this week due to the fact I had a close relationship with a box of Ritz pretzel crackers this week.
Oh well the same is better than gaining, back on track now...that trip to Spain is coming up!!!Last edited by thriftygranny; Fri, Jan 18th, 2013 at 07:02 PM.

Great job everyone, it's a really hard go, but I have confidence in every single one of you. Please remember, the scale is just a number. Do you feel better? Are your clothes fitting just a tiny bit better? Do you have just a bit more energy due to the foods you've been eating....YES, you're a winner, every single one of you! Just trying to eat a bit cleaner and cutting out anything we know is not great for us make you a winner, so keep going.

part way through the w/e, so far DH and I kept each other honest. Oh we COULD have skipped over to our favourite big breakfast place after the Naturopath visit, but like good patients we came home and I rustled us up a nice serving of GF pancakes with fresh blueberries, and scrambled eggs. Mmmm.
Patty I am a bit confused too about the actual amount of lbs listed as lost for this challenge being matched up against prior losses. I think it is just our pride for the lbs we have lost, it is/was fantastic, whether it is reminiscing from 6 months ago or more. Also that incentive of I did it before, I can do it again.
I personally felt as if I had let myself down after gaining back over 10 lbs between Nov-Jan and if I allow myself to think that I SHOULD have lost another 15 during that time, then the guilt impact factor becomes bigger than my rear end! lol
ok, we are all BEAUTIFUL!!!

So true, Walks...it took me a year to lose that first 50lbs (and find 10 of them from our NY trip and Christmas), and that's easy to forget as I fret over "just" a 2lb loss this past week. The truly important point, is that each of us follows a PLAN, whether it's WW, or GF, or whatever. Doing it alone, just cutting back this and that, for me anyway, just isn't enough. It has always surprised me how fast those daily calories add up, all the while thinking I was doing so well!
Whatever works for us, keep it up!! The war wages..some skirmishes won, others lost, but in the long run, we'll win this war!!

WOB, your so right. We cannot constantly compare ourselves to what we did "IN THE PAST", if we did that, we would probably live with disappointment forever. Every day is A NEW DAY. If today you lost .001 of a pound, well that's fabulous. IF TODAY, you went the entire day GF, well that fabulous. IF TODAY you made a plan you are going to start on Monday to eat healthier, then that amazing. Today is what counts. Yesterday is behind us and today is the day that counts!!!! It been proven that we can't go back and relive a day, so why try and compare ourselves to yesterday. Today, we are older than yesterday, and we need to look towards our future, where we do have control and are able to change things. So, today is the first day of the rest of your life, do it right

Aussie, being pregnant gives you all the more reason to want to eat healthy and keep yourself fit We all know you will be gaining weight, you just want to ensure that you don't gain massive amounts that won't be healthy for you or the baby. Congrats to you, it's so exciting, we'll be able to watch you grow if you still do your weigh in on Fridays, but in your case it will stay the same or go up. I remember when I was pregnant with my first child, I gained 24 pounds and looked like a house. My Dr said my weight gain us under the norm, especially since she weighed over 10 pounds at birth, lol. Yep, I gave birth to a baby girl elephant..... and the 4 that followed were very close in weight as well. I guess the average weight gain for a single baby is between 22 and 35 pounds, so it will be nice to watch you grow. Keep us up to date with your growth please, and again, congrats to you and the Mr.
