Is this weird or what? I was at RCSS Sat for the no tax. Was not impressed with the price of their fresh lemons even if I did have a PC offer for every dollar spent on them. I thought I had scored off the damage rack 3 in a bag with a pink sticker.
Well the cashier weighed them! I said lemons are 88 cents a piece, so aren't those 44 cents each? Nope she said they had stickers on each lemon, had to be weighed, came to well over $3.00 ??! so I left them there.
Today I was now out of stupid lemons, so I go back to bite the bitter lemon bullet and grab a few and can you believe there was not ONE lemon anywhere?? I asked 2 different produce guys and they said they had none. No loose ones, none that came in net bags. Are you kidding me?
The good news was getting PC points on other things I had to get, cashing out $20.00 of my points to reduce my bill and paying .33 OOP for a pink sticker bag of Bok Choy thanks to scanning my receipt with Snapsaves when I got home.

Speaking as a person who only eats breast meat - yep, you'll notice. For my DM and I, it's a texture thing. We just don't like the texture of the legs and thighs (although we can tolerate it better in soup). But it works for us, because my DF likes the legs and thighs - so when we buy a whole BBQ chicken (one of our favourites from RCSS) it doesn't go to waste.
You can often get boneless, skinless breasts on sale for $3.xx/lb, so we stock up it when it gets that low.

Mine are the exact same way, except for homemade chicken wings. But they'll eat other parts when it mixed in stew or shredded into sandwiches or quesidillas (our new favorite meal). I also use the other meat from a chicken/turkey in cachitori and a long time family favorite chicken puff caserole. There's lots of ways to hide the meat!

Lemons and also limes (especially limes) will be in short supply soon and much more expensive due to weather problems in the places where the majority of them are grown. I also try to use fresh lemons and limes when cooking but I actually bought some juice for both of them the other day in case the prices really skyrocket.
