It's because of Walmart, really.
I worked at customer service and the manager said we had to return everything because Walmart took back everything. I believe Costco takes back everything too? (I don't know I've never been there)
I don't agree with it (yuck), but it is retail survival I guess. Do what your competitors do no matter how ridiculous it is

I think we have the same bug! I knew for weeks I was coming down with something because I was sneezing and I never sneeze. Then 2 weeks ago it hit me and hit me hard! Coughing really badly constantly, asthma going absolutely insane, using my inhaler several times a day, headaches, tired, sore throat..
I JUST got over the coughing, but now I have laryngitis, a sore throat and a super sore ear. I'm starting to wonder if this morphed into an ear infection!
I feel for you, if you have the same bug I do, it's awful... and I've only had it 2 weeks which is nothing compared to what you're going through!
Get better soon!!

I am never ready for snow. We are living between Heaven and Hell, shouldn't the weather to be tolerable?
About the store refund policy issue, I only ever return stuff that is genuinely defective (discover it after I bought it home) or I change my mind about an item (love at first sight but a week later "what was I thinking?" I blame it on the store mirror and lightning). That always applied to clothes so I always keep it unworn until I absolutely sure I would wear it before wearing it.
In the past, people would buy Halloween costumes, prom dress, party dress ect...worn it once and return it. That also applies to X-Mas decorations and seasonal stuffs. Glad some stores are smarten up and not allowing return for Halloween and X-mas items anymore.

DD missed 3 days of school last week.
Friday- PA day, so no choice, but..
Monday- I kept her home because she woke up and had thrown up all over her bed in the middle of the night, and had a high fever.
Tuesday- She was feeling better, so I took her in, but got called an hour later, because she couldn't stop coughing.
So, she's been cough-free Friday and Saturday...but just started coughing again. And looks like she might miss ANOTHER day.... But as she's not really 'sick', she'll be bored at home, missing her friends, bouncing off the walls, while I cough a lung up.

Relatively new HE furnace sprung a leak and flooded the kitty litter area so kitty couldn't get in. Have two messes to clean up. Heater doesn't work in the truck. We are chilly and cranky and have houseguests coming in 4 days aaaaaack!

i once worked at a female clothing store and there was a woman who would buy products in bulk practically then return them.. never fail.. she would buy a dozen skirts then return them less then a week later, and it was constant (the computer keeps track of your purchases and she was well into the 5 digit value with purchases and returns!).. i also remember 1 woman who came in found a shirt she liked while talking with her family she did say "well i can buy it,wear it for the pictures, then return it" sure enough that is exactly what she did.. she bought it on my shift, and brought it back on my shift and my god did is reek of perfume! almost as if she bathed in it!
i was at target after halloween (buying clearance halloween stuff i'll admit it!) and sure enough there was a person at customer service trying to return their extra halloween candy because "they bought too much"When life hands you Edward Cullen...throw him back and demand Eric Northman....

Holy Bat Crap!! I stopped in at DS's place and I had to leave after only a few minutes. The reek in there was so bad I had my scarf over my mouth and nose. The place is a pig pen and there is garbage everywhere. Plus they have the heat on high and that just compounded the reek of dirty cat litter. It's starting to look and smell the show "Hoarders". So freaking gross!
Just call me Wolfie

My grandmother's Birthday was Friday so I did up some nice gifts for her (I always try and do up around $50.00 worth). She never tells me what she wants but I got her a $15.00 calendar (same type I get her every year they only sell it online and she loves this type), I got her some bottles of her shampoo (which I didn't coupon since it is different brand), and a ton of other things that I knew she would definitely use (making sure that I didn't get them for free because my aunt always mocks me and makes my gifts sound like I am cheap if I save money on them).
Well my grandmother's other granddaughter picked her up a kettle, the same kettle that I saw on clearance at Superstore (where she works) for $3.00 and she also got her student and employee discount on it (I didn't know you could combine those but she lets on that she can) and my grandmother has not shut up about how this belated birthday present (which was two days late) is the best gift ever and how she shouldn't have spent her money on it (even though I spent $50.00 on her and her only response was that she expected the calendar from me etc.). Why is it that my older cousin should save her money and it is expected for me to give generously just because I am a couponer?
I give up.
I think I will give her four rolls of toilet paper for christmas and she will praise me.
