we drove from Hamilton to Cape Breton - yep we were stupid but OMG the snow, rain, sun, freezing rain and now its mushy. Like where the heck are the snow plows.
And home now and my sister must have a mild form of hoarding - I swear no work of a lie a cupboard full of plastic shopping bags - I mean 500 plus all gone to the recycling place - people in Ontario that is like 5 cent a bag and here they give them away.

(Sorry this is rather long.) I`m VEX right now.
I`ve been on and on about this stupid concert on here for so long and its not finished yet.
Alright so I bought my ticket on Ticket Mob (Running the venue) I decided not to go. I emailed Ticket Mob on Sunday saying I would NOT be attending, cancel my ticket and refund my money. Nobody answered.
I reviewed their FAQ last night and ALL it said about somebody else going with your ticket (It has MY name on it) was to email Ticket Mob's customer service the PDF of your ticket saying somebody else would be going. Okay - did that.
I sold my ticket on Stub hub - I`m now out $50 of what I paid originally. I have NO idea who has my ticket. Thought I was good.
I get an email from Ticket Mob saying the following
In order to reduce scalping and ticket fraud, I MUST go to the event with the person who has my ticket, with MY photo copied I.D, the credit card that purchased the ticket, and a letter saying I concent this person to use my ticket.
I called ticket Mob. Their telling me to contact stub hub to find this person so I can do said above. As they are the 3rd party, it is out of Ticket Mob's hands.
Yeah, Stub hub OBVIOUSLY won`t give me details of who has my ticket for PRIVACY breach. Friggen idiot. I snapped on the woman and hung up.
I called the number for the club asking how strict they are about tickets with somebody else's name on it - Nobody answers.
So now I`m afraid this poor person who has my ticket won`t be able to get in, will complain to Stub hub about it, They get their money back, and I don`t get sh*t back and am out $150.
*** Update **
Contacted club - saying without ID and ticket matching entry will not be allowed.
Contacted stub hub - saying venues generally dont ID and say it as a scare tactic - since the holidays just passed my ticket COULD have been a gift.
FML. I`m going to be a nun, never buying tickets or going anywhere ever again.Last edited by Candini; Fri, Dec 27th, 2013 at 02:27 PM.

I highly doubt the club is actually going to check that the name on the ticket matches the name on the id.
Not everyone has acceptable id, tickets could have been a gift, or in the case of an all ages concert some attendees aren't even old enough to have id.
Unless this is a private, name on the guest list only event I can't see them checking or caring.

if they don't want people to resell tickets (and only accept tickets with peoples names on them) then they should allow people to return tickets (within a time limit say 12hrs before the concert) minus a "restocking fee" people shouldn't be forced to be out money for a ticket they can't use and no one else can use
When life hands you Edward Cullen...throw him back and demand Eric Northman....

OK I have ranted about this before... it happened again.... please do not do this!!
Once again, hanging with a nice buddy and friendly ladies and he pulls out his phone and starts showing youtube videos and funny pictures off instaface (or something like that).
Is anyone else as annoyed when people do this as I am?? I find this to be super annoying. Just horrible!

Got my annual physical and my doctor asks me if there's any chance I may be pregnant. I say no and she replies "good, you're too young to have kids". I'm in my 20s and quite frankly, it doesn't matter what age I am. I think the decision of when to have children should be up to me and my fiancé, not my nosy doctor.

My friends and I always show each other random crap, funny stuff we find on you tube.
However if I were on a date.. I probably wouldn`t stick around
Perhaps your friend feels he has nothing to bring to the table, so to compensate he's searching for something to make conversation.
I`d tell that doctor to kick rocks. What a putz.

Canadian Tire's installation charges! Grrrr. DH bought be a remote car starter for $100 for Christmas. I called yesterday to find out about installation and the guy said it would be at least $620 plus taxes but probably more like $800+. Needless to say I returned the car starter this morning. If it's between running outside and starting the van and then going back in and getting the kids ready or $1000, well I don't mind making the 2 second run outside. lol.
Going to look into small local companies in the new year. Hopefully they'll be more realistic.

Good call, Lola.. I wouldn't trust them to do it properly anyway.

They are expensive to install because they are so complicated and time consuming. A lot of Canadian Tires won't even install them anymore due to that.
Maybe a smaller place can install it a bit cheaper but I would be surprised if you found a place willing to do it for less than 600.00.

Just called the place I got my last remote starter from and they said it's $399 plus tax which INCLUDES the starter, 2 remotes and installation. My friend just got hers done at another local store and it was $475 all in (different car than me though).
CT wanted to charge at least $620 plus tax (guy said more like $800+ when I phoned) just for installation. The actual kit was $100 (on sale from $250) for 1 remote. So they are at the minimum DOUBLE what other companies in my area are charging.Last edited by bargain_hunter_lola; Mon, Dec 30th, 2013 at 09:39 AM.
