My sister.
She had a cesarean about 5 weeks ago. Calls me today while I'm at work, she's gushing blood. She's freaking out, says her DH is taking her to the emergency room and if I could go right over to her place and watch the baby. Ugh, okay. She left her DS with her friend who lives in the basement suite of their house. I leave work early scramble to pick up booger from daycare, go home grab him clothes and whatever else. Then head to my sisters.

I AM NOT EQUIPPED TO HANDLE MORE THAN ONE CHILD!!!
THAT IS WHY I DO NOT WANT ANYMORE CHILDREN!!

Then she's messaging me acting as though I am an idiot, telling me how to mix formula and that he needs to be burped. No $hit!! Do you not remember that my DS is only three years old?!?

She calls me at 6:30 and says she's leaving hospital. She has an infection, they are dropping off her prescription grabbing food then on their way home. 8pm.... still no word. 9pm... still no word. They finally show up at 9:45.
Guess what?! They wound up at toys 'r' us, and went out for dinner...

I was up all night studying, then was up at 5am this morning to get DS to daycare and head to work. I'm sorry that the last damn thing I wanted to do was watch your baby. (yes I realize he is my nephew, but COME ON.)

and my boyfriend went out tonight for his birthday. No biggie.
But he KEEPS TEXTING ME while he is out with his friends. Seriously... go have fun and stop being that guy that spends all night on his phone while he's out with his friends....

Last week I bought Pampers wipes from Pharma plus that were on clearance. The packaging picture I didn`t recognize but didn`t think anything of it. Once I brought it home I noticed the bottom was starting to yellow (Like too much sunlight was exposed to it)

I emailed pampers the lot code asking when the package was made. They emailed me this morning saying the product brand was discontinued in 2012 but the package I had was made in 2007

So gross! What if someone buys these and uses them on their newborn? I don`t even have the receipt anymore to return them.

.... I have won two things EVER. Once I was old enough to write, I would fill out every ballot I could find while out with my parents. Then, at 12 years old, I won my mother a patio set. We lived in an apartment with no balcony. lol Last year I was chosen as a winner of a Silk tumbler. Not that I'm not appreciative, but I enter EVERY contest.

I have 363 ballots in the Europe's Best contest. I have yet to win an hourly prize and I guarantee I won't get the grand prize, either.

Went grocery shopping at Zerhs, every freaking aisle either had 2-5 employees standing around chatting or boxes of product in them. Didn't have ANY of the meat advertised on sale in stock, didn't get the pc points on Joe fresh because the lady didn't scan the pair of snow pants I brought her with a tag(the ones I wanted had a hand written tag), so now I have to fight with PC Plus to get them because the pants show up under "other" on my receipt. They didn't have dd's milk in stock, had to drive to 3 different stores to find it.
My toddler poke a hole in the sugar the second we got in the door and my floor is still sticky after washing it 3 times.
My oldest is complaining that she's bored already and asking me every 10 mins what we are going to do for the rest of the week, and then tells me that doesn't sound like fun....is March break over yet?

My mom lives in the same city as me and will text me EVERY DAY the weather. If a phone call is made within the same time span as the text, she will verbally tell me about the weather, again.

I might add that I never leave my house and I have no windows / end of sarcasm

my friend lives in South Carolina she texted me it 64 degrees and sunny. and I text her we are getting 15 cm of snow and she says its so pretty. then lets switch spots

I've finally managed to convinc my mother that you can get temps below -10C in the winter...plus windcill. Even when she was over here in the winter, she never got to grips with how cold it can get wih regards to how she was used to European cold weather..

My sister still tells me I'm lucky not to get the amount of snow she had round the south east of England...

Having to turn down a management position at work.....

I am the first person ever to be offered a management position in less than 6 months from hire date.
So twice I was offered a management position by the GM. She fed me some BS about development classes being on weekends so I would have to change my availability. I told her that was not in any way possible, I am a single mother I do not have daycare or any available child care on weekends. The second time she asked me I was pulled into a private meeting where the first thing that comes from her mouth is "whats the real reason you can't change your availability?"

UMMM... are you stupid... What do you mean the "real reason". You know I have a child, why can't you wrap your head around the fact that I am NOT available?!?

The meeting lasts a good half hour, she's trying hard to pitch this management position and how great it will be and my pay will increase $6 per hour. I looked her right in the eyes, said "Well then I guess there is no advancement for me within this company." She stared at me with this deer in headlights look, sighed and then I walked out.

This was last week, and somehow about half of the employees know about this private meeting. They are all in amazement at my turning down such an "amazing offer".

I'm sickened by it.

While I totally understand the fact you have no alternative childcare on week-ends, the fact your GM has now asked you twice about a promotion...is there no way you can find some way for you to get some-one to look after your child , a student or some-one from your local church or other place whre you feel will be good to look after your child.

Because and to be honest as a child of some-one who turned down a lot of advancement chances..you are more than the mother of that child..you should be looking towards both of your futures..Your child will not be totally dependant on you for ever and if you keep to a minimum wage job when you are capable of so much morethen you are wasting your life and your child's...

I really do not have anyone to rely on for child care. Since moving back to Winnipeg I have kept to myself.

I do understand that this would be a great opportunity to better support for my child right now. Though I won't be in a minimum wage job forever, lol. I have another 7 months to go before I finish my business admin course. Well give or take... I am doing it online through the college and completed my first year in just under 7 months with a 93% average.


**editing to add. It's not that amazing of an offer. To start yes it's not bad I be making $16/hr. But after that there is no more room for increase and you are only entitled to a $.40 raise every 6 months with maximum wage being $18/hr. The reason I started taking the business course was because I am after a certain position with another company. Where starting wage is $17/hr and increases yearly based on performance but maxing out $33/hr. I have my foot in the door on this one too as it is the position under my uncle (has been with the company for 22 years now).

Today is one of the worst days that I have had in a very long time. I won't get into it, but it feels like most things that could go wrong, did. I wish I had a rewind button so that I could start this day over again. *tears*
