R.E.S.P.E.C.T
Does anyone really understand what the true meaning of that word represents? How many people actually apply it in their daily activities towards other people and especially to their Elders? For those that are not familiar with the true meaning of the word, I would encourage you to Google it. There is way too much disrespect these days. Some I'm sure need to put themselves in check.
Parents that do not show respect towards others don't realize that their children pick up on their traits. Their children therefore are rude and disrespectful.
I respect those people who deserve it regardless of their age..I expect the brood to respect those people who are respect-worthy regardless of their age..
I DO NOT expect people to respect me simply because I am older than them..That's egotism...
If and when I do something worthy of respect..please feel free to respect me. My age isn't anything worthy of respect..
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Two years ago I fell on an icy grate and cut through my jeans and into the area just below my knee. It sliced the skin right off and left me with a purple scar the size of a loonie.
A couple of weeks ago I fell again and I fell right on the same point where my scar is. OUCH. I stood up and my whole leg quivered like I'd hit the leg equivalent of my funny bone. I drew blood again and got a nasty bruise.
Today I took the bandaid off and my ugly purple scar I've had for years is gone! I'm pink again! Hallelujah! Happy rant! I've cleared all evidence of my previous injury by injuring myself again!

My youngest has been sick almost everyday for the past month. First it was the flu, then a cold, then random fevers and being lethargic, then another stomach bug and now she has a cold, cough and strep throat. She doesn't go to daycare and other than a couple of lessons during the week and the odd play date she hasn't been around other kids much this past month so I can't figure out where she's catching all these bugs from. My oldest is in school but usually stays in her room(she's at the age where we aren't "cool" enough for her to hang out with us) so I don't think it's germs she's bringing home.

Hmmmm, sounds like she may have a depressed immune system. You should get that possibility checked out. I have the same problem and have to take anti-viral medication everyday.
I am down to 1 can of Beaver Buzz and the only store in town that carries it doesn't know when they will be getting anymore in. Mind you, they have every other flavour it comes in but not the the one I like. They always seem to be out of it! Grrrrr!
MIL fell down and broke her hip. And since DH went out of town for 2 weeks, I am stuck dealing with her. I don't have a good relationship with her as she treated me like crap when DH and first started dating.Just call me Wolfie

Husband got his identity stolen. Got notification yesterday from Canada Post that his mail has been forwarded since last Friday... 3 credit cards applied for that we know of right now. Signed up for Equifax monthly monitoring but their systems are down and can't log in to see how much of a mess there is. It can all be fixed but what a pain...

That's such a pita web! I lost/had my passport stolen the day I turned 19 at a casino and I was devastated. Ironically when I went to apply for a new one , that day somebody handed in my old one (and this was quite sometime after ) I was super worried about identify theft but it's even more invasive knowing someone knows all about you
My rant is the lindt store. Even a 30% off day couldn't stop me from racking up my credit card. Its gifts!! I swear it is.Last edited by Candini; Fri, Feb 12th, 2016 at 03:03 PM.
