Enjoyed doing my mega redemption at SDM today despite the -26 temp this a.m! Not too cold to miss that! I think we are completely stocked up on food, chocolate, toiletries, stocking stuffers etc. I also cashed in Aeroplan pts yesterday for $300 worth of gift cards so nice to have received over $500 worth of free Xmas stuff in the last 2 days-that should pretty much do it.

Hi Everyone Just dropping in to say a quick Hi and then off to finish the Laundry and my morning routine. Yep....a little tardy today. Just the bathroom to clean and I'm done for today. Invited out to supper so that is a nice surprise. Had planned on Pork chops but they can wait in the fridge for me. Off to have Pizza...Yum...Yum... Super cold in many parts of Canada today. Stay warm everyone.

Just got an email to renew our homeexchange listing for $5 for the year so I couldn't resist-I have spent the afternoon oogling far flung locales. Cheap entertainment and day dreaming but of course if we shell out for airfares to somewhere far away in the future... oh well it would be fun.We have done 5 house exchanges and have always had a good time-will maybe look for something for next summer or somewhere warm next Xmas.

I know your all busy, if you could spare a moment of time and send some MAJOR prayers our way. My mom called tonite and my sister is on dialysis, her kidneys are failing. were not sure what the day next/week/months/years hold. were praying for her and the best outcome. however. after years of kidney issues, were not holding out much promise besides a transplant..
i can only assume that if were able most of all we'll be tested for matching.
i knew i should never have held out promise the whole year would go without incident. but wow.
sadly she isn't in the same city, so no frequent visits, were going to be doing alot of calls, emails etc to keep up to date.
all we can do is wait.
TIA for all prayers.Be Strong
Be True
Be You.

Mrs. S hugs and prayers for you and your family.
Busy thread and I did not realize how long I had been offline. We almost lost a very good friend to a car accident this week. So we have been busy helping with the kids and I am planning on Christmas shopping for them as well so I have been really trying to plan. I found a 25.00 old navy gift card so I used that on Thursday with 50% off for some clothes for the kids. Then hit toys r us last night and they still had some great deals so I used a 100.00 VISA card forsome toys for her boys, i was very happy they still had the PS4 I wanted in stock. This is my kids big gift. I wanted to do two mega redemption but ran out of time so i hope to go back tonight. I have two 4 year olds and two 11 year olds and a 14 yr old all boys for the night. I may need a break.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

lilo sorry to hear about your friend, very kind of you to be stepping in and helping out, you sound like a real gem my friend. Wonderful of you and your family to share with others this time of year when things are so expensive and overwhelming.

Went to shoppers with a list and a plan but sadly many of the items I wanted were cleared out (note to self to go early the next time) but regardless I regrouped and used $105.00 in points only have to shell out $9.00, lots of choc. milk (treat), milk, bread, a few Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers so all is good
