Hi everyone! It's not that I'm having a late start to my day, it's that it's my second start!
I got up at 1:30 after a terrible nightmare, then went back for a sleep before lunch.

My side owie is better for sure, but def not gone. Coughing is the absolute hardest thing to bear - and stifling a cough is no better! It's amazing how many other muscles you use in your body when something is hurt - to compensate.

Enjoy the day, each of you!

Just got back from the eye specialist. Hubby had good news...no change. We know his eyes will never get better.

re: crocheting vs knitting. I used to knit but find that crocheting is much easier on the hands. Mrs S you`ll have to come to the Spinrite tent sale in August. Lots of yarn there!

actually i think crocheting is easier to learn then knitting. i find the hook to be an extra 'hand'. i just started like 2-3 weeks ago. my slippers were my first project.
i literally watched the lady on youtube the whole time i was doing it.
ive got a few books from the 70's im learning to read the stitches.
but pinterest, youtube are my go to's. i sit and watch them and crochet as i go.
some are hard to follow as they go to fast.. i'd suggest searching YT for a video of how to learn first. then go from there.
Seriously, you started 2-3 weeks ago?! How long did it take to make? Were you a knitter beforehand? How much yarn did you use for what size of slippers?

Jaden is now finished exams . The guys are leaving tomorrow for 3 days to the cottage and I can't wait, I have a really bad cold and dh is really getting on my last nerve but I think he's a bit cranky with the unknowns about work .

I finally rec'd my pc mastercard so anxious to start using it and accumulating the points to use in December when $ is really tight with Christmas and all.
Thanks for your input, jasperandchar. I didn't think about staining. I don't expect the tablecloth to last forever though. I'm sure LO will put a pair of scissors through them one day or draw on it. Just as long as she doesn't do that to the bare wood, I'm happy! I agree the other is too Valentines, but I have a GC to use up and can't think of anything else I need at the moment.

Congratulations on Jaden finishing exams and getting your new PC card. I'm thinking of cancelling mine as it never gets any use anymore. I have two others that I use frequently, but the PC card is my oldest.

LOL @ Sweet Sparrow. yes.. 3 weeks ago. My sister was sitting at my moms crocheting her like 4th afghan in like a week. i thought heh. i can do that.
believe it or not. i attempted knitting. ya whatever.. it was like two left hands..
i went to Michael's with a GC i got for xmas. bought 4 rolls of Red heart. smaller balls. plus a set of hooks.
came home and youtubed. practised. youtubed. you get the idea.

then i youtubed how to make slippers. i bought a huge ball from WM. (still have 3/4 of it left) NEVER buy cotton when just starting out.
i literally youtubed how make my slippers (ladies size 8), step by step. done in just over a couple of hours. no thanks to the cotton crap, shredded like crazy.

then i made a tie for my dh.... hah haha that was funny. going to have to work on that again.
then this morning i whipped the headband and bow together in less than an hour.
    so please with myself.
this is how it turned out..

Size: 55.8 KB I've had these for years. Think I paid a nickel each. Well filing up with peanut free candy for kids class never happened so posted that I had 25 of them and said 5 for $2. 1 lady bought 5 and another today the rest for $8 but she left $10

Went in basement for 30 mins. Moved stuff around. Brought a Tupperware pitcher up and filled with water and put in fridge. Took pictures of a few things and posted for sale. Have 2 pick ups arranged for tomorrow. $6 made so far. Will bump my ads around 9 as lots is kids stuff and I'm sure the mamas are busy bathing and putting kids to bed

I did not have a frugal weekend, passport photos done and will send off my renewal today as well as vehicle registration times 3 made for a very expensive weekend. Went to Fabric land for the buy one meter get 2 free so bought some beautiful boucle to make a cape for fall, some burlap to make new Christmas stockings and some outdoor fabric to recover the cushions on my patio furniture.I have lots of projects now to keep me more than occupied! I will need to pick up some fresh produce this morning to tide us over for the week. At the hospital 3 times this week for cardio rehab and off to Calgary for more allergy testing, attending my granddaughters assembly she is MCing on Thursday and I work 3 shifts this week. Going to be a busy one for sure!!!
    Have a great week everyone!!
