    Good morn!

Don't have much shopping to do this week, just some essentials. Almost done going through flyers and making my master list for the week.
SO nice to have mild weather, it's -5!

    Enjoy the day, everyone.

I have been seriously been thinking about getting something too @coupon girl because I have had this awful ongoing dry nose, try to blow, bleeds, crusts over, cycle repeats....for over 2 months now. I kept asking DH if a humidifier would help. ( sorry about graphic nose detail )

    Good Morning Everyone,
Busy morning here so far. I got my yogurt started around 7 am as it is about a 12 hour process. I am on step 3 of 4 which is the longest process taking 8 hours. Luckily it is in the pressure cooker and the pressure cooker will do all the work for the 8 hours.

I also have Laundry going so i can get that done today as well. Second load is in the washer and once done I will turn on the dryer. Since we hang the majority of our clothes I combine loaded in the dryer since the try takes more electricity to run.

I have also re arranged our living room to set up a little table I can set my laptop and a keyboard up on. Normally I do not hook up a keyboard to my laptop but the project I am working on right now that is all numbers entry and I find the number keypad on the keyboard triples my speed.

We went grocery shopping last night and to my shock we did not totally go over budget which surprised me as I did not find out until we were in the store there were a number of things we needed I did not know about. As well I had already planned to do some stock up shopping that I thought was going to stretch the budget more then it did so I am really happy.

Today I also need to tackle cleaning our kitchen, I am not going to say anymore as I am not happy about this but the good news is I did vocalize how I was feeling last night instead of holding it in and just getting more upset.

Oh and I also most forgot I have a woman coming this morning to pick up a blanket I crochet for her which I am so happy about. I think this will be my last custom order for awhile as I just cannot commit at this time until my job slows down so for the foreseeable future I will only be creating projects for family who understand my time constraints.

    Have a great day everyone

Morning! Productive morning so far. Laundry on the go. Went to Shoppers. Happy with my shop. Bacon and eggs for those up, frying eggs for those sleeping to make quick egg mcmuffins with bacon once awake. Diningroom table spotless. Need to pull meat out for dinner. Something with ceaser salad is the dinner plan.

Apparently the deaths weren't done yet. A good gentleman in town that dh and I knew passed away on Sunday. We just found the funeral announcement and will be attending this afternoon.

Since the working floor unit humidifier makes a rumble (floor vibrations) when in use to supposedly diminish the steam from any cooking or baking in progress, I don't know if it would make a difference at home as it's a drafty house. I have the dry nose scenario often. Don't like the bleeding part but it comes and goes.

Might there be a small unit (desktop) with a shut-off that could suffice for bedroom use? I make do with petroleum jelly on really cold days (before walking out the door) or when the nose is really bothersome. Bonus-easier to blow your nose!

I went to our Sears store today. It has been turned into an Outlet Store. They had 50% off the lowest price on coats which I have been needing. I found one that fit and I have gloves, scarf and hat to match.

We had to take our pooch to the vet today. It turns out he has seriously impacted anal glands,so we have to give him antibiotics. Poor little guy!

We had a very nice lunch at the nursing home today to celebrate sil's birthday. They have entertainment every Friday, so it's always a nice time to spend with his mum.

Tomorrow is a church "Search (for a new minister) Committee" meeting in the morning and then we have an Open House in the afternoon.

I have a reading to do in church on Sunday. So a busy weekend.

I am heading off to bed as I have to get up early.

J&C I have been meaning to mention that I am glad to hear that your arms have healed. That has been a long process for you.

For those of you in Saskatchewan, we're all grieving with you about the tragedy in your province. Prayers said for all those affected.

Good night folks! Have a great weekend!
Not to joke but when you mentioned looking for a new Minister, the show the Impastor popped into my mind and I had a little chuckle. But sincerely good luck in your search and the process. If you have not seem the show it's super funny

The tournament is ridiculous this weekend. First game Friday at 7...2nd game not until Saturday at 4. Hours left to kill.

We went to Canadian tire. Picked up tp 24 rolls for 9.88...back home the same pack is 19.98. Car seat covers ( set of 2bucket 1bench covers )i wanted scoped because the csme up at 79.99 abd the shelf tags said 59.99 so i got them for 49.99.

Bf found the frying pan he wanted regular 110.99 on for 39.99.

We got our 16kg bag of dog food for 23.99 (49.99 at home for the same size and brand). 3 cans of Folgers coffe 8.00 each (14.99 each at home)

We also got j cloths and windshield wiper fluid.

I got a laundry basket on sale at TBS for 3.99 and 2 deodorants for $2 each

@coupon girl glad that you had a good nights sleep, fingers crossed it clears up the problems.

We on the other hand have to run a dehumifier as our house is too moist (cinder block house).

We are off to 430pm mass tonight and a few errands, a home depot run to get 2 things and then the laundry area will all be done, dh installed the 2 doors and they look awesome. A quick run into sdm for milk and a prescription, I have a 15x on milk so great timing and perhaps a treat this evening as we haven't had 1 yet this month.

Dh sold some rough sawn cherry this am, which he sawed up with his sawmill. I posted an add on fb last night and by 9am they were heading out the driveway so gotta love those fast no nonsense sales.

Our plans for tomorrow are to put up the soon to be powder room's door. Then I can say all rooms have doors...yippee....seems like a small thing but it's huge to us. Saving up the cash vs. incurring debt to do projects around the house is a great mindset to have.

Wishing everyone a great afternoon and evening.

Back from hockey. Another win! Now to get at the laundry. My honey is making a whole chicken in the BBQ with wedge fries he makes ( so good) with ceaser salad. Then drop DS at birthday party. Sun is shining here! I bought more seeds today. Can't wait to start planting!

Thank you. We attended the funeral ceremony but decided not to stay for the lunch. It was standing room only, which was nice to see. He was only 1yr younger than my dad and his children and grandchildren were close in age to mine. We don't think that we will be able to attend the other two funerals, but they both received new pictures of our little family in the weeks before they passed and I can take comfort in that.

Yogurt is out of the pressure cooker and cooling in the fridge. It is a little running so I might strain it in the morning,, the recipe gave you this option but mentioned after 1/2 an hour it was Greek Yogurt texture which Mom is not always a fan of if too thick so I want to see how think it gets in the fridge first.

If I do need to strain it there is a recipe to turn the whey into Buttermilk which would be great for baking.

I really have high hopes for this to work as I think it would be a great alternative for us. From what I can see I made the amount of 3 to 4 tubs of yogurt which I pay $1.99 each for on sale for under $4.
