Thanks for your advice. I think I'll say less than more. I always feel the need to justify my actions, but it is often unnecessary. When I find a replacement I will let her know I don't need her services any longer. If she asks I will be honest.

Granger I have the same issue I always explain or justify things which gets me in trouble because people can then come back at me so they are trying to teach me to not justify just say your piece and as little as possible is best.

@Granger honesty is always the best policy, lies or excuses always seem to catch up with people.

@Crochetlady a good nights sleep works wonders, take care of yourself
I have green & yellow beans cooking on the woodstove, saving on hydro in any way I can.
Supper tonight is pork chops, yellow & green beans with scalloped potatoes.
Going forward Friday's will officially be meat free (lent) pancakes and grilled cheeses are the options and this will definitely stretch out the meat and budgetand may continue onwards as it will be a routine and great savings.
I did my mid month budgetand we are still on track
Wishing everyone a wonderful afternoon2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Crochetlady: I am glad you were able to rest. Like others suggested I would look for bronchitis. I had this a few years ago & sleeping upright was the only thing that worked.
Granger: I no longer have a cleaning service because it was so annoying to pay someone to clean my house and do a half @$$ed job.
It has been another crazy week but its still working to save me money.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Crochetlady- yikes! You need rest to get better! Have you tried trying to sleep on a few more pillows or sitting up in a chair for now. My Dr. even recommended putting a piece if lumber under the head of the bed to prop it up so my mother could sleep better. She had C.O.P.D.

I`m sure he is getting excellent care now. He`s in St. Mary`s in Kitchener. They specialize in heart care. Both hubby and BIL spent some time there.
I`ve been sleeping in the recliner the last couple nights. That with the inhaler really helps.
I`m still sending prayers your way.

Crochetlady, hope you are better! Best wishes for your brother as well, on a good recovery.
When I was teaching, I frequently got bronchitis, which would lead to laryngitis - just awful! Led to pneumonia twice, which was of course much worse.
The only things which would curb the coughing were cough syrup with codeine (you have to sign for it through the pharmacist), cool mist humidifier in bedroom, and steaming head with towel over a bowl of boiling water.
So glad I haven't had any of that for ages.
Well, so glad it's Friday, and that it's a long weekend!
Did some catch-up shopping yesterday, just necessary fresh groceries.
Hope everyone has a nice day. We've gotten back to frigid days, but it will warm up on the weekend once again.

TGIF!!!! Lunch out with my work girls and then leaving early for the day for a wonderful long weekend! Date night tonight with my honey. Looking forward to just sitting and chatting. Been a busy few weeks.
Tomorrow the plan is to do laundry and clean the house. Then DS has a hockey game. After hockey will get the few groceries we need for the week. (romaine and bananas) Sunday a drive to Orillia for a free breakfast and late lunch. Monday- depending on the weather hopefully we can take a drive to our fav beach and take a walk. It's been our Family Day tradition!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend

I agree - say less than more. It is now a year ago that I received a 2-1/2 page letter from a family member which basically stated that I am too involved in the care of my parents. My hubby responded and I never replied - not worth my time. When they step up to the plate and at least pay my parents a visit once in a while, they will understand why I have to be so involved.
