Happy Birthday to your son - yay, a teenager!
Great deals - and I pretty much only shop online when there is free shipping, too.
Sure hope you get some relief from your pain, you've been going through this for so long.
My sweet husband picked up four boxes of Parkay margarine from the Co-op, they were on for $3, a price we haven't seen for a while.
I mentioned the sweet not only because he went out of his way to get to that store - but he also came home with my favourite fresh bakery buns (the kind that are soft and chewy), and some doughnuts!
Doughnuts! DOUGHNUTS! I've been craving them!
Hope everyone has a nice evening!Last edited by Natalka; Thu, Mar 3rd, 2016 at 06:43 PM.

Hi Everyone !!! I hd not been here since a while because depression had getting the most of me.
Now I see my doctor more often and he adjust the medication so I feel better now but those medications ruin my budget a they are so so expensive even with the qc public insurrance and no generic exist
I have to do the whole cleaning of my appart in the next few weeks,no more locker space and the stock I have put in a spare bedroom is really to much plus my beloved brother stock before inspection of the appart is due.
I feel I put 1 feet behind 2 in the other sence..........
I went to see my 99 years old grand mother who is now in a chsld ....boy that was awesome to see her I will go more often,
I still do couponning but I dont receive the inserts and no coupons in store,so that is difficult but my father still price match.
Have a good night everyone and will try to chat with you more often !!!!The goal is to live day by day not to much thinking hahaha !!!!
I love to save money!!! Frugal life hahaah !!!

@cath007 : Nice to see you again and happy to hear you are doing better!
With the snow outside, I've had to make adjustments to getting the stroller through the snow. People shovel, but then the plows come and make a snow bank before and after each curb. I've been seeing many mothers able to push their babies through with no problems. It used to be like that in previous years, but LO is now the size of a child one year older and the stroller is now over 40 pounds! I've had to raise the front wheels, lodge them into the snow, grab the handle and pivot to turn it backwards. Then I can pull the stroller out of the snow and continue on.
Some days, I can barely get the stroller up the front steps, making me wish that we only had two steps instead of three.
@coupon girl : I completely understand. LO is very particular about how she wants things and will rearrange them, making us get up three times in the process. I guess children are very similar in their stages! Before you know it though, it will be time for school. Ashlyn will be going to kindergarten next year!
People have been asking me about the "terrible twos" and I find LO has been much better this year than ever (so far!). Last year was probably worse as she was making the transition to daycare (and told me in no uncertain terms that she was extremely upset with the arrangement!) and it's a toss up between that and her first year when she cried inconsolably so often that we thought she had colic! I see why soothers are popular, though we never gave her one.
The other day, LO earned a "time out" for her behaviour and then had a fit because I gave her one. I told her through her tears that when she calmed down, she could go take her time out in the usual spot. This is normally the time she asks to use the washroom. I helped her with her toileting, then got her changed out of her daycare clothes and got her washed up, and she reminded me that she needed a time out (perhaps 20 minutes later). Then she'd quietly go to her spot and give mommy her "two minutes". It's been a few times now that she's asked for her punishment that was interrupted for whatever reason. I've been impressed!

It is Friday Yippee, I cannot wait for the weekend.
I was looking at some of the flyers this week and only found maybe a handful of things we need, I will look at the other flyers tonight and see. I will admit after last week I would not be sad to have a small shopping week. I am starting to notice things are not getting eaten again so think it is time to scale back on the wants for a bit and only get the needs. I try to be open to if it is on sale sure we will grab it as a treat but I am noticing these are going in the garbage because "Oh I forgot" or "Oh yeah I kept thinking about it eating but never got around to it" so think it is time to go back to only the needs for a bit.
Alright well time to get back to work, hoping this day flies by. Have a great day everyone.

Coupon Girl did your address say you needed to stop dying your hair or stop dying it at home?
The only reason I ask is my Mom recently switched Hair Dressers and her new one suggested she needed to stop dying her hair at home and get it done in a Saloon and it would make her hair fuller which I feel was BS as my Mom has always had super fine hair even before she started dying it. When she told me I told her it was a cash grab and she agreed.

-no my hairdresser didn't say to stop dying it (cause I dye it at home)she said it may be the hair dye and your skin is sensitive when you get older and could be medication also -I am on high blood pressure pills
oh and my hairdresser is an old neighbour of mine and she wouldn't talk me into anything
-sassy that does sound like a cash grab
-well kijiji lady came made 25.00-she is a collector so glad she got a few of mom's betty boop stuff

Dh went to a funeral with his folks today so I decided to go shopping by myself with the truck and I'm happy to report my OCD didn't act up....phew
Stopped in at shoppers to stock up on some items that were on sale, used my $10 off from last weekend and earned 6k points so very pleased. Then ventured into Independent Grocers only earned 200 pts but got much needed items as well.
Picked up a clock 2nd hand while out as well it's beautiful all for the new renovations.
Called and left a message with the accountant this afternoon to ask if she could get back to me with an approx. return amount as I need to see what I'm working with before I confirm with the contractor what he will be doing vs. us taking on some projects.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Good afternoon, everyone.
More stress for me today, sigh. My Mom went to see the specialist today, seems like there is something unusual going on. She's still coughing and tired - there is fluid around her lungs, but they're not sure why. On the plus side, they can't find anything bad going on. She goes to another specialist on Monday. I still think all of this is related to pneumonia, we'll see. The funny thing was the Dr said that she looks like she's in great shape and doesn't look 80.
Lily dog is getting better slowly, she can now wag her tail without falling over.
Some other frustrations going on, hopefully I can resolve a few things Monday. Starting to feel like Job these days. Good thing that warm weather is around the corner.
Better go hang out with the critters. Quincy cat is being especially needy these days.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

jasper no other options presented for my extreme dry mouth and sore gum -its only sore around the one front tooth about 4 times a month and Tylenol 3 (half of one) clears up the pain
-but the dry mouth I have tried everything(biotene ,gel spray etc ) -cant go on meds as I may have glaucoma
-but know what I am fine today except for a head cold and there are worse problems other people have my older half brother inherited (leber's optic) a gene from my mom that caused pretty much blindness in his late 50"s he is 68 now and happy as can be -he only sees images cant see faces -but he went and got a machine from the cnib so he can read articles better -he still does the new York times cross word puzzle
-oh and this defective gene that my mom had gets passed on to the boys and stops there goes no furthur -I have 3 brothers
-but with girls that certain gene defect from my mother -can carry on to the girls future children meaning my son or daughter (my grown kids have been told about this too-no use worrying about something you may never get -deal with it when the time comes )
unreal eh -when my mom was alive we tried to explain it to her it was like the lottery of the worst kind how one sibling got this and it created partial blindness in him
-so see girls I am just venting sometimes to you allLast edited by coupon girl; Fri, Mar 4th, 2016 at 09:03 PM.
