I have heard Governor Andrew Cuomo warn many times that NY is 3 weeks behind Italy.
Each day this becomes more and more REAL!Last edited by walkonby; Sat, Mar 28th, 2020 at 10:53 PM.

The more I'm learning, the more thankful I am that we can stay home and not go anywhere. Ever. This isn't supposed to peak until mid May.
I also miss hugs, @Natalka , but I'm willing to exchange this huggles time for the ability to hug for a much longer time in the long run.
If we need groceries, we'll order then on line, Hubby will go to pick them up at the scheduled time, pop the trunk until someone loads them in, close the trunk and leave.
The work would start when they get inside the house!

Keeping the schools closed makes sense to me. If I had children, I wouldn't be in a rush to have them go back. Easy for me to say, I suppose.
I hadn't read/heard that the virus can live on surfaces like plastics for that long! Scary. Do you have any more information about that?
My main anxiety, other than worrying about my parents (who are older, one has MS requiring home-care, and they are on the other side of the country from me) is the availability of medication. I was on another forum this week and read that pharmacies are limiting refills on almost everything (including insulin) to 1 month rather than the regular 3. I don't take insulin but am on a medication that is as necessary; I cannot go without it.
On a completely different note, no baby yet for our nephew and his GF. He must be quite cozy in there!
I started my tomato seeds for the upcoming season yesterday. My plan had been to wait until April, but I needed a pick-me-up yesterday.Last edited by TrueNorthTreasures; Sat, Mar 28th, 2020 at 09:54 PM.

@TrueNorthTreasures, perhaps this will help....and yes, we leave our plastic grocery bags outside in the back yard.
Oh. And wipe down your ice-cream buckets...this virus can last 2 years in a freezer!!

It's real, my dear Friend........which is why our Daughter and SIL have insisted we DO NOT leave our home. Ever. Until who knows when. They'll call us each time they head out for milk or whatever, our SIL will be the designated grocery person, they will pick
up our groceries, leave them at the door as they've done before. We're to call them if we need anything.
However, if we need anything, we'll put an order in with Superstore, choose a pick-up time, Hubby will drive there, and
while sitting in his seat, pop the trunk, someone will place our order in the trunk, he'll close it while still seated, and
he'll drive off. I ordered my magnesium from Amazon.
All THIS because if I catch the damn thing, with my asthma and high blood pressure (controlled, but still), I likely won't
survive.
Now...PLEASE do the same,
Sorry it all has to be like this, but this is so serious...we may be like this until August. And I want you to stay safe.

I don't grocery shop online @Lynn49 and even if I wanted to I couldn't. The time slots only go up to April 10 and every single one of them is full. I hope you and your DH have better luck with it
