another week upon us.

ty very much everyone for the lovely comments wrt the new patio in our backyard. A labour of love for sure......oh and my sis had pretty much the same sentiment about the grass umbrella! Where's the bar going to go? ha ha
Busy-ish day today, right from the start for me.
Had to make sure I ate breakfast and got a new batch of soup going before heading out to do a medium sized grocery shop. If I shop when I'm hungry, then the grocery cart gets high calorie snack items tossed into it. Weird how that happens.

@walkonby , you have more self-control when it comes to your healthy eating regime than anyone I know and that includes me!! You're really an inspiration I should live up to wrt this diet nonsense, but.....I'm not.

To answer your question, no, our DD didn't have to use those paddles to shock her Friend's heart into beating again, her rate was 42, so she was 2 beats away from having to do that. I did question her Friend (almost like another Daughter to me) about allowing someone with no experience do that, that perhaps a call for an ambulance would be better, but she said, at the point where her heart would be at 40 bpm, she wouldn't survive the wait for paramedics. I just pray it never comes to that. Poor muffin has quite a tough time with her conditions....

It's nice to be home this week...chiro on Wednesday, manicure, Hubby has his next Medvix treatment Friday if it's a sunny day, then off to camp but perhaps not golf with the kids and Gs, since he won't be able to be in the sun. Time will tell what Friday will bring.

Good morning gang! @Lynn49 ty once again for reassuring me that for each day that I plod through this 1200 a day calorie ordeal, that eventually SOME results will come. Slow and steady? uh huh.....that that seems to be the race I entered into.


@cath007 wish I could forward you some of our sunshine , we have more to spare atm.

@GoJays we can wholeheartedly agree on what sort of rude entitled brats result from bad parenting.

This should be a " do nothing " day for me, but I really want to make another batch of my diet version meatloaf just to have at the ready.
Bit of a brain fart yesterday after I went and spent a large amount on the groceries, I see today I'm out of both feta and ricotta cheeses. hrmph!
Light Swiss will have to do I guess. sorry, first world problems seem to be my focus right now.
Maybe I'll watch a bit of CNN to see my BP go up and possibly my head will explode, there is NO good news it seems.

Ingredient substitutions haunted us today, also! Hubby went out to pick up some ingredients I need for making Dal Makhani tomorrow and wouldn't you know it? No black lentils in town! I thought about a health food store later, but I figured he'd been through enough.
So brown lentils will have to do!
I forgot to ask him to buy plain yogurt to make the naan bread, but we'll be doing a few things tomorrow so he'll be on the road, taking me to my chiro and for my mani later.
