hi jays, flemeth....I was up way too early today, thought about logging in but figured I better get the " soaking " dishes from last night washed up first.
Another surprising success for DS as he made up 2 servings of creme brulee without a water bath for the ramekins, or a butane torch to brown up and crisp the top...and yet they turned out great!
It's a cheater's hack I guess he found online. Mmmm, so creamy and sweet.
I had bought him a full Litre of whipping cream to experiment with, so the next batch he's planning to use our shallow glass pie plate to make more servings in the one vessel.
Jays rallied and won last night!!
2023 had better show some promise or else!

Good afternoon! Feeling nauseated and faint. It has to be side affects from those new pills. New doc, new pills. I argued with her about these pills but she said to give them a chance.

Happy Thirsty Thursday @GoJays
From the 2 memes you posted I'm deducing that you leaned that way because of your work environment ( and or coworkers ).
See? I don't watch murder mysteries just for the entertainment value.
The dull, humming....constant stoopid noise outside is STILL ongoing!! I am grateful they ( hydro ) are doing this much needed work, but the digging and whatever else they do has been here since February. They do move their operations a few houses up the street from ours every so often, which is something, but that noise travels no matter how far away they are.
2023 had better show some promise or else!

@walkonby creme brûlée is one of my favourite desert. The carnation milk that I bought I would used it to make it and flan and custard .

Creme Brule!! Do you remember, @walkonby , a year or two ago I made creme brule and showed our DD how to sugar-crust it with my little torch? She's been known to send them back to the kitchens in restaurants, but said mine was the best she ever tasted.
She didn't send mine back to the kitchen, lol.
It's such a special dessert, but we should have it more often.
I hope your street noises stop soon...jeepers, that's like a drip-drip-drip torture, isn't it? Only louder.
Take care, my Friend!
